topic Flatware question.... in Kitchen

I bought the large Lenox 18/10 stainless steel flatware sets a while back. I have yet to open it (not sure why...) It may have been because I didn't catch the accessory set with the tongs etc. before it sold out and I felt like my set was not complete.

I had the accessory set on wish list and many times have thought about removing it. But today, I was shocked to see it available! So I purchased it *so excited*.

My question is this, is the 18/10 ok to go into the dishwasher? I am not sure what my current set is...actually, I don't have a "true" matching set just a mish mash of different forks etc that have come from hubby bringing them home from work, his farm etc.

I read a review from someone that stated her set of Lenox started scratching and looks awful after only a few months. I'm not convinced it is true because I was under the impression 18/10 stainless is pretty hardy.

Any opinions? Thanks!
