I don't think a lot of you get it - David does not make the rules. QVC management does!! David could probably care less if all the colors are there or not; however, I have been watching QVC since it's beginning and the sold out colors are ALWAYS removed.

If a person just turns on their TV and, for example, sees a mixer is there in red, they may call up and find it is sold out. Then they will question why it is being shown in that color if it is not for sale.

The sold out color is removed so as not to confuse the home shopper. This is not difficult to understand.

All these complaints are pitiful. David does not own QVC. David reports to QVC Management. They tell him to get the color off the table of items for sale. It's really quite simple. Stop dreaming up your absurd reasoning as to why every host does what they do. It is called QVC Management.

I've read several articles that highlight that the phone lines explode when David recaps what colors are limited as folks want to get their specific color. To be honest, it must be a small break for him to recap colors and quantities as they have him selling the same items over and over again. I give him credit for his presentations as I see so few new, exciting things on QVC these days, I know I couldn't do it.

Shoot away. Nothing's going to change.

The people who call in and order or purchase online are sure to get an updated quantity list. Maybe it is just a pet peeve of mine.

That is a pet peeve of mine too. I like David, but seems he spends most of his time going over the colors again and again. Also, with Temptations, if there are several pieces of each color they take the time to have someone come out and help cart them away. I don't that that is necessary and seems a waste of time.

Seriously? I wonder if people think through things before they post their complaints.

He does this for two reasons. First, and foremost, not everyoe watches QVC on your schedule. With QVC being showin in 100 million homes across multiple time zones, people are constantly tuning in, so these updates are needed. Secondly, and also iportant, QVC has said that each time David goes over colors or does a Happy Dance, sales spike. Since QVC is in business to make money and not entertain us, I am sure this is something that will continue.

As has already been said, if you do not like the presentations, change the channel.

Which is it? I only ask because I have watched other networks do the complete opposite. Instantly coming to mind would be the cooking shows from the minor league shopping channel. While I understand the removal of products, I think what I dislike are the theatrics.

When I said "almost every show does it " , I meant almost every GENRE of show does it..I do not watch every hour of programming on Shopping TV, far from it, as I work an average of 60 hours a week..But in my PERSONAL experience , I have seen it with jewelry, clothing, shoes, cookware, intimate apparel, wigs, luggage.Certainly not isolated to cooking shows...Evine Live are the only other cooking shows I watch and they do it too...telling you even to the unit, how many of each color is left...

frankly it seems informative to me, not "theatrical" ... but I would expect TV to be theatrical...

I have read multiple articles that when the hosts go over colors and quantities the phone lines light up (especially during David's shows). I think for those of us that have been watching for decades it is tedious but for new customers there is still that "oh goodness it is going to sell out" mentality that we have outgrown as we know better.

The blond host mentioned which colors were sold out as well as the quantity remaining and all went well.

The point here is how other shows or channels might and might not remove sold out colors without over-doing it. It's not false advertising (or whatever was said) if a color is still displayed even if it is sold out. That happens quite often in retail.

Theatrics have a place to be sure. In retail? I'm not buying it.

Yes, I saw HSN with Ming too- I didnt hear her say they were sold out of any colors, but perhaps they were not at that point.. but I CAN tell you that if I would have flipped it on and seen only lime green, white and orange left, I wouldnt have even stayed.. so perhaps that is why they left the colors up..I also noticed that throughout the presentation I watched they never said what SIZE the PC was and that was really annoying.. and when i kept looking at the screen it was not listed, even the words running at the bottom were talking about his version of the "copper pan" NOT the item he was presenting..

I was curious, cause I really liked it but it looked so HUGE... mine is 6 qt but this looked way bigger...That was disapppointing
