I got a advance notice on this unit, but, it wouldn't open up in my email, so, I came in to check it out. Not much of a description on what it does.

180 bucks , so, it must do a lot. Hope, David shows it on air.

K305555

I'm tired of hearing about these multi cookers. I got a Ninja 4 in 1, and joined the recipe group on Facebook. They all proudly photograph their creations and that is some of the most unappetizing messes I've ever seen. Sort of what they'd serve in a Siberian prison kitchen. I've hardly used mine. I like my pressure cooker much better.

My favorite kitchen appliance is my Cook's Essential 5 Cup Perfect Cooker, but I live alone and just got tired of lugging out my heavy equipment for a small meal just for me.

There was a time when I didn't know how to make small amounts of food. I'm on a weight loss program now (lost 40 pounds since January) and for the first time in my life I see what those big meals have done to my health.

Make all sorts of things, but if I only used it for stir fried rice and steel cut oats i fell like it is so worth it.

Kachina

I've made the meatloaf recipe from Meredith. First tried it half a recipe at a time, next time just adjusted the time and made it all at one time. Was really good.

Made ham and beans. Cubed ham pieces, half can northern beans, 1 medium potato, diced yellow onion, chopped green onion, salt n pepper to taste. Start at 20 minutes and go from there until the potatoes are tender.

Stuffed pepper. About a pound of hamburger mixed like you would for your favorite stuffed pepper recipe. I used 1 medium green pepper, stuffed it, and divided the remaining hamburger mix into about 3 or 4 meatballs. Placed the meatballs beside the filled pepper. I put a little bit of tomato soup from the can on bottom, the rest on top. Can't remember how long, but everyone likes their peppers cooked differently. I'd start at 30 minutes and go from there.

Fried Rice. I used long grain white/some brown rice. Water ratio according to directions on rice. I believe I used a ratio of 1 to 2. Add a little more liquid if you want it cooked longer.

Added frozen mixure of pepers and onions (found in freezer section bagged), sesame oil, maybe a teaspoon, soy sauce about the same, minced garlic, chopped onion, whatever veggies you like really. I also like mine with a little sweet so I add about a spoon of brown sugar. Doesn't take much. Push the rice button. While it's cooking I scramble a few eggs and add them later. This is optional, some don't like eggs. Add any meats you like also.

Love this method, no standing over a hot skillet and no oil to fry it all in.

My latest addiction is Banana Cinnamon Sugar Steel Cut Oats.

1/4 cup oats, 1 cup water (can use milk, but I don't want the calories). I add about a teaspoon of vanilla, cinnamon sugar to your liking, smidge of butter, and of course brown sugar. Set the timer for 20 minutes and go from there. I just add my banana about 5 minutes before it's done.

Baked a frozen biscuit about 50 minutes. Still working on this one.

And here's one if you're as patient as I am. I warmed a leftover bbq burger sandwhich I took home from my sister's one night. Put the whole thing, bun and all together. Set it for 30 minutes. I don't mind waiting for it as I do things around here. I think the wait is worth it because the bun gets crispy on top and bottom as though you had toasted it. Some people think I'm crazy, but I just love it this way!

Hope this helps. Happy Cooking!
