ugh just rec'd my oster convections oven and the touchpad is defective this is like the 3rd appliance I've rec'd like this will stick with local stores now and not order anymore from QVC

My problem with the clothes is that you can order two of the exact same item in the same size, and they are different. Just happened to me with a Denim & Co. "perfect" jersey top. One fit fine, the other in a different color was too tight, so I sent it back.

I have also received Denim & Co. jeans where one leg was longer than the other, and Susan Graver Lustra knit pants that were WAAAAYYY too long, longer than stated measurements. By the time I opened them and tried them on, it was too late to send them back, but I should have anyway (won't make that mistake again). I had to hem them myself, and now they don't look quite right.

Once we know our size, everything in that size should fit, and that is not the case due to poor quality control.

A couple of months ago I HAD to get some shoes. I couldn't get to the store so I ordered 3 different pairs. Two from HSN, one from QVC. Praise God, they fit!! I don't think I'll chance that again!

Re the clothes. For some reason the powers that be think that "vanity sizing" is what we want... you know the sizing for a 1X is now called a L.... if the actual garment measurement was accurately depicted I wouldn't care... but it isn't and it's different with all the sizes, all the designers and even in the same designer in the same size~! I've learned my lesson after ordering 2 Joan Rivers TSVs (the actual fabric was the problem as I knew the size to order as I have one of the BF shirts in another fabric.) It used to be one of QVC's selling points.... once you knew your size, ALL the clothing on the Q conformed to the same specs.... not now.

Regarding the appliances. I'm an appliance ho .... I admit it. Very tempted by kitchen appliances. I've purchased (for example) Keurigs from the minute they were introduced. Love the product. Tried to buy the small unit for our son last Christmas! Ended up sending it back (absolute junk)... and went to Bed, Bath and Beyond and purchased the small unit from there. What a difference in quality....

I'm still on the Q. Still really enjoy the convenience, but am far more selective as to what I buy.......

Sorry for your frustation, Tazzie. Thanks for posting, though, we were thinking of getting that oven. Is it the one with the pretty french doors? I think we mlight've found it cheaper elsewhere, but we are really considering it.

I always check the garment measurements and rarely, if ever, have a problem with fit, especially in D&C, which I find to be very consistant. I usually don't even try things on until I'm ready to wear them the first time.

People always complain about quality control when they get a defective item. Do they really think they test and meticulously measure each and every of thousands of items that arrive in the warehouse? Of course not; they take a sampling. I've gotten packages with a sticker that says it was opened for a quality control inspection. A defective item can happen in any lot of merchandise.

My problem is I can't seem to go by those 'click-here' measurements. It seems they often vary so much, if I really want something I may order, then rethink 'cause hate to send back, so I cancel. As I've stated and restated, why doesn't QVC make their hosts give actual sizing measurements for each size. These hosts rant enough to fill air-space so why not provide useful information. And, I hate that they don't show every model with a closed jacket if that's what they're selling, state size wearing along with their usual size in a typical item. These things along with actually pulling/checking an item as they used to in the 'old' days, would be beneficial.

As far as appliances, haven't had that much experience. Am considering today's tsv, but hesitate 'cause of lack of feedback as it appears someone rated it low (rating disappeared so don't know reason) and someone rated it high. Again, I hesitate because returning appliances is a hasstle.

But, perhaps it's just me, I've found with food purchases that it's real good at first; but, some vendors, not all, seem to lessen the quality on subsequent sales - just imho. Again, quality control/monitoring issues arise.

I feel for @TAZZIE for I cannot imagine repacking and returning three large/bulky items and certainly understand her frustration!

@Kachina624 Many times if you notice that suddenly near the end of a presentation they flash up the measurements when they hadn't been.....often I totally believe that's because I CONSTANTLY call in and ask for customer service and then say, "Could you PLEASE ask them to post whatever measurements they have on the screen".

Then they suddenly appear! It's difficult to figure out the sizes when they change. I buy a lot of clothes from QVC, just like clothes but lately I've been pulling my hair out because I've had to send almost all of it back just because it's too big.

I know that I didn't have that problem before this year. I have many clothes from way back.

@Annabellethecat66 I agree, any producer who doesn't get those measurements on the screen at the beginning of the presentation should be fired, and for more than a nano second. I think most are men and they just don't seem to comprehend how important they are.

I do check the garment measurements and I know my size. My problem is when these items are made, they are not all made the exact same size. I know these items are mass produced, so I guess expecting consistency on every item is too much to ask. But when we have to pay shipping both ways for an item that did not work, when the exact same thing in another color did, that does not seem right to me.

I'd measure an ill-fitting garment and if the measurements vary significantly from the listed garment measurements, I'd call CS, tell them it's defective and is being returned and I expect a full refund of shipping charges.

Please read the reviews for this oven on Oster's website. The touch pads on their ovens are not reliable. I returned two ovens I purchased from a local retailer because the temperature wouldn't stay at what I set - it would go up 25-50 degrees and burnedmy food. When I would open the door to check on my food, the temp would drop 25 degrees and take a long time to come back up to the temp I set. I went with the breville - much more reliable.

since it was a TSV and it would fit 2 13x9's and was an oster figured it would be just what i needed so I didnt have to use the big stove oven, sorry to say the touchpads on this thing is junk and when it was shown didnt have a chance to google it, LESSON LEARNED
