topic Wrapmaster Plastic - K39394 - QUESTION in Kitchen

I recently received this new Wrapmaster that is specifically made for cellophane wrap. It seems like a really nice thing and it was easy to follow the instructions to put the roll of wrap inside.

My question is about the way that it opens for use -

When you push that button in the front of the unit to open it up, it opens so violently that I worry the plastic parts won't be durable enough to last long.

Are they all like this and, for those who have had the units for a while, have you had any problem with plastic parts breaking? It is so sudden and has this really loud sound that it actually puts my tinnitis into overdrive (any sudden and/or sharp noise does that, in all fairness).
