Mousiegirl, appreciated the info you passed along. So you had green tid bits on occasion huh? That was funny. My little one has done a lot better - my biggest problem is finding a sippy cup she can use without a nipple set in concrete. The ones now labeled soft are NOT soft. Guess the new thing is they mostly are pretty darn hard and she will NOT use them. I did find a small nipple on one sippy cup but the cup is a little bitty thing. The ones that have the spouts/nipples that are for her age are the very hard ones. EVen Ricky will not use them. The little one went to sleep about an hour ago so she may sleep all night but if not will get her cleaned up and back in the bed. She is very very good about going to bed for the night - hope it keeps up.

At any rate warmed up the rest of the tri tip roast, fixed a lot of baby carrots and then smothered them in butter and tossed some potatoes in for baking - worked well. Now what for tomorrow - have no clue.

I am tired, Ricky is back home after spending three days with a friend - she ADORES him and took him to a water park. Was a bit worried as it did get quite cool last night and was cool and overcast until about noon. Did heat up to about 80 plus so he had some good time in the water. Already down to 60 - will be another cool one.

Hope all had a great day and that all ate well.

August flew by didn't it? Dawned on me this morning it was September. Geesh!!!! Do not even have anything to start with as i did NO cooking last night - again. Shame on me. Had to go back to the little one's MD and get some paperwork . Decided it made more sense to stop and eat than come home and literally throw something together. Her MD is not here, in a neighboring town and while not a great distance, it still takes some time. Only reason we go there is he is a marvelous MD for the little ones. May try and find a good one closer but for now that is the way it is.

Heat beginning to drop today - not even going to be 100 - close, but should not make it. In two days our nights will drop to the high 40s - hard to believe but that IS the way it works out here. Dying of the heat one day and then freezing the next day. We just do not have any gradual entrance to seasons. There is no real Fall nor is there a real Spring. Always have missed that. That does not mean however, our hot days are gone for this year. Nope, we will have more.

OK, I need to get a move on.

Afternoon all,

Weather is cooler, in 70's and sunning. Birds are enjoying the new birdfeeder. And I'm enjoying them!

Went to Michigan with some gals yesterday. Bought apples, peaches, and some very tasty apricots. Need to make some apple butter in the crock pot.

Not sure why, but not having a good day. Will need to buck up as I have book club in a couple of hours. And then I have dinner and theatre out tonight. Maybe that will lift my spirits.

Good to see everyone.

Bella, your meal sounded really good. And I am so happy to read you are doing better - now that is the icing on the cake. Like many things, it takes time but it seems like you are making great progress. Hubby is happy you are doing better and too, bet he enjoyed the meal you were able to prepare.

Soushi, you too have had a big hurdle to go through. As many say, time does help - bless your many friends!!!!

fixed a tri tip roast = never had done one before nor had I eaten one. Davey said his Dad made them and he loved them so am still trying some reverse psychology with that boy. He said it was good = guess that in itself was a blessing. Still prefer my boneless chuck roasts - I found the tri tip, while tender, really stringy. Fixed come potatoes with butter with lots of cut up onions in it. Also some mixed peas and carrots.

The little girl was under MD orders, get her on sippy cups, regular food and regular milk but ONLY 16 ounces a day. Yesterday being the first day to try this was a loser. She had a difficult time going to sleep and was really fussy. She also woke up at 3:30 crying - she never does that. She does NOT like regular milk so tried using a little of formula - did not work. So when she woke up this morning I gave her full formula and she went right to sleep. She also refuses to use a sippy cup so will try and find one better for her than what I have. As to the regular food that was also NOT a winner. Sigh. At least for her breakfast she can continue with the cereal and fruit. He also said NO juice from a bottle any more. Sure seems like a lot of changes all at one time. I understand switching to the regular milk but she does not like it.Cold this morning - Brrr - even the little one is keeping her blanket on her - probably not for long however.

Hope all had a great day.
