Canisters

I have canisters that look just like the stainless steel canisters K180814. I like the highly polished look but one canister seemed to have lost the high polished look. Guess too much handlling while the fingers were covered with "stuff".

Anyone have recommendation on the best way to clean a less than shiny canister?

Are they actually stainless steel?

Some cleaning "experts" recommend using olive oil to clean/polish stainless steel appliances, so maybe you could try that.

White vinegar. It is non-toxic, a great disinfectant, affordable, and you can clean stainless and mirrors with it. Just pour it inot a spray bottle.

Yes, they are stainless steel. What a great idea. I wished I used olive oil on them before I used them. Maybe residue from fingers wouldn't have marred the canister.

I will definitely also try white vinegar. Thanks for the suggestion.
