has died. I have had it for nearly 6 years, used it every day, and never had a problem. This past Sunday it only dispensed 1/3 cup of coffee. I drained it, descaled it, and did the paperclip thing. But it would always only dispense less than half a cup.

I don't know if nearly 6 years is about all one can expect. Fortunately I had 2 minis in reserve and am continuing to enjoy my coffee.

How long did yours last?

I purchased mine 11/2015, makes a good tasting cup of coffee, especially with K-cups (I love Donut Shop decaf). I also use the my personal k-cup with a good brand of coffee, but the taste and flavor is not as good. I can only hope my Keurig Mini lasts as long

as yours! You were smart with purchasing a 'reserve' supply👏

I had my mini for 1 and 1/2 yrs. It began dispensing 1/2 cup. I saved the instructions and descaled it but it isn't just a one step procedure. I had to add the solution 2 x and then 3 more times with just the hot water. If you need the instructions I can post them here. I was ready to run out and get another mini but after doing this, all is ok. Did you use the Keurig descaling solution that you can buy at WalMart? I read online that it gets clogged quicker if you use the cocoa K cup and we had been making cocoa quite a bit in the winter.

I still am using the original larger size Keurig TSV - it is noisy with no bells and whistles. I believe I bought it 2008 or 2009. So many posters with the fancier versions complains it breaks after a year.

I descale once a year at most and use a solofill. Kcups are expensive and I prefer my own grounds anyway.

Hugs to Miss Violet

We bought our mini from B,B&B back in November and descale it monthly since we have well water. I actually scrub up in the piercing mechanism with a toothbrush. I seem to accumulate coffee grounds there that clog the system. I feel the OP's machine just needs a thorough cleaning.

I had a larger Keurig & I used it for a few years (no exaggeration!) after it should have been declared dead. It would shut off repeatedly before making a cup of coffee. Sometimes it never did & I gave up. No coffee that day. If I forgot to unplug it there would be no coffee the next morning. Like a punishment for wasting energy! lol But I loved it while It worked.

I replaced my Keurig with an iCoffee - uses K-Cups, comes with a great reusable container so I can use my own coffee (my preference). It makes a much better tasting cup of coffee - it was a very noticeable improvement over Keurig. I learned about iCoffee here (there should be a long thread or two if you search) and got it with a 20% discount coupon at BB&B.

My first name is Ellen and middle name is Ruth so I combined the 2 names for my name on the forum. My instructions didn't mention vinegar. I think you may get more life out of your mini if you get the descaling solution from WalMart that Keurig makes and follow the instructions that tell you to combine it with water and let it sit in the machine for 30 min. Then do it again and the 3rd time use all water and no descaling solution. For some odd reason I feel compelled to have you fix your coffee brewer. LOL Maybe your instructions are different from mine. These minis are not cheap for sure. I got mine on sale for $ 80.00 and they usually are $ 100.00.

I have purchased at least 10 Keurig brewers, of all sizes, and EVERY one of them has died. I drink a lot of coffee; not one of the brewers has made it through the warranty period. Keurig has ALWAYS been very gracious about replacing them, but it is something I just have grown to accept. My gripe with Keurig is that when they introduce new models, they usually do not accept the K cups from the previous model. You have to empty the coffee into a k cup adapter to brew them and that is a pain.

I must say that Keurig has addressed some of the design flaws of their brewers. The brew nozzles get clogged easily. Keurig has begun to provide a cleaner nozzle with their brewers that helps with the problem. If you search youtube, you will find many videos posted by owners who have had issues and resolved them,

I don't mean to knock Keurig. I still buy their brewers, but i do so fully expecting to have issues.
