I have the small WP rice cooker, which came with a 3/4 cup measuring cup like the perfect cooker does. I also have the rice cooker cookbook by Marian Getz which says a standard measuring cup can be used for rice. I follow Marian's directions and use standard measurements.

Over and over on the Q&As for the Perfect Cooker it is stressed to used the accompanying measuring cup (Wolf also stressed using the accompanying cup for his unit).

Does anyone know of a reason I could not follow Marian's recipes and use standard measurements in the Perfect Cooker?

I don't always use the measuring cup that came with my 6 cup Aroma rice cooker. I think the key is to use equal amounts of water to rice ratio. A standard cup of rice, a cup of water. I've found a lot of my recipes from youtube. I follow a a channel called Third Street Kitchen. She uses the WP rice cooker, so I have adapted some of her recipes to use in mine. I also take some of my recipes from Eric Theiss's Perfect Cooker website.
