Question for Fiesta collectors.

I have some Amazon credit and I've been browsing Fiesta dinnerware. I don't understand why the colors and quanitites are so limited. Do they currently manufacture these products? If so, what's my best source for it?

Fiestaware is going strong. They come out with two to three new colors every year. Amazon is usually not my first choice on where to buy Fiestaware. They do not have a huge selection. If you go to your search engine and type in Fiestaware, you will come up with loads of sites that sell Fiestaware. You can also find out what colors are going to be retired. Vintage Fiestaware is harder to find, usually at Antique Malls, or also online, but premium prices. I started buying the place settings and a large pitcher of each color as it was offered years ago so now I have quite the collection. If you are ever close to Gatlinburg, there is a large Fiestaware store down there that will relieve your wallet! So, you can always buy some standard pieces at Amazon that you might need, but please branch out. You will be surprised at all the pieces available.

I buy fiesta on younkersdotcom. They offer coupons that you usually can apply. A couple months ago, I bought a six piece place setting in lemongrass. I had to strategically use my coupons. It takes work, but it was worth it.

These are my everyday dishes and I love them. Macy's and Kohl's will frequently have sales. I have gotten pieces on Amazon. I started by purchasing four place settings and then went from there. What I love about them are they are open stock so I can buy just what I will use.

I usually shop at Belk, and they always have a great selection of Fiestaware. I don't collect, so I don't check on prices, but I know that it is often included in their sales.

I don't shop Amazon but are you dealing with resellers? That may account for price & quantity differences.

I usually shop directly from Homer Laughlin but Macy's offers some good pricing due to their volume.

For me, it is not easy to buy Fiesta on Amazon. I have done it though.

My first Fiesta purchase was on Amazon, and I bought 4 jumbo cups (or also called jumbo mugs) and I bought 4 different colors. I wanted to see which colors I wanted to choose for place settings. The jumbo cups were a great start, and I love them for soup or anything else served in a bowl, and they are also great for a big cup of coffee or a homemade latte.

When I shop for Fiesta on Amazon, it can get very confusing to compare prices and find colors.

For instance, just now I clicked on a lapis 4 piece place setting, and it shows $39.95. On that page it shows different colors, (13 available now), and when I click on the different colors, it will show different prices, and some will show different shipping costs, and some will show free prime. To see the different costs for each color, you have to actually click on the color, not pause. If you just pause on the color, the place setting photo will change to that color, but the price will not change. Ugh.

Like some others have mentioned, Macy's, Kohl's, and the factory are some choices for purchasing Fiesta. I bought my first 8 place settings directly from Homer Laughlin. They have great customer service and they wrap the pkg very well. None of my purchases from them ever arrived broken.

Another tip is that if you prefer the java mug to the ring handle mug, HL offers the place settings with the java mug.

When I ordered the place settings I ordered 4 with the java mug, and 4 with the cup & saucer.

I suggest you look around on Homer Laughlin's website to see what is available and the prices. (fiestafactorydirect) You can always go back to amazon and then have a good idea how to best use your credit.

I thought I should also mention that Fiesta has some pieces that are exclusive to certain stores.

For instance, Dillard's has a Fiesta exclusive footed bowl, in both a 5-inch diameter and 6-inch diameter size. I have the 5-inch size and I really like them.

I knew I had a photo somewhere, and yes I found it and had to share. It makes it easier to get a sense of the size when it is on the stack of plates (dinner, luncheon, salad).

Another exclusive is the covered box, which is available at Belk's.

Kohl's has the tall mug which they call the Fiesta Latte mug.

Macy's has their exclusive individual pasta bowl, which I love.

This is not the entire list of exclusives, just the ones that I remember off the top of my head.

Dishesfastdotcom is a good place to get the older Fiesta that is no longer made. I unfortunately only like my retired colors. Good luck shopping!

IF YOU ARE EVER IN THEPITTSBURGH AREA, THE FACTORY IS LESS THAN 1 HR AWAY. IT IN THE WEST VIRGINIA PANHANDLE IN A TOWN CALLED NEWELL.THEY SELL EVERYTHING IN THEIR STORE AND ALSO SELL SECONDS FOR PENNIES ON THE DOLLAR. IT IS A TREASURE HUNT! I GO OFTEN AND I HAVE THE MOST COLORFUL CABINETS IN THE AREA. EVERYONE PICKS THEIR FAVORITE COLOR TO USE FOR DINNERS ETC.
