Thinking about buying the TS Nuts on HSN. Anyone else?

Anyone have experience with Ferris Nut Company? I am really tempted to buy that TS today. SOmething to have in the desk, purse etc. To keep me aaway from candy dishes.

I have been on AD for the Ferris large containers of raw nuts and dried fruit for over a year. They are absolutely delicious, and the nuts are the largest I've ever seen. We eat so much of them that I often have to speed up my AD just to keep them on hand.

I haven't tried the item that's the TS, but if they taste anything like Ferris' other products, they're probably a winner. JMO!

Thank you! I was hoping someone who has bought from them would find my post. I am thinking that its a great deal and I do hit candy dishes in the office and I have to stop that practice.

QVC sells Germack which is in Michigan and readily accessible to me and even I'm thinking of trying the Ferris brand :-)

I bought a large tin of Ferris Mixed Nuts and Cranberries at Kohl's over a year ago in their Christrmas sales. They were delicious. I had hoped they'd put them on sale again this year after Christmas, as the tins were expensive, but no luck.

I'm just off to check out the HSN TS!

I have gotten their Cherry Berry 3 pack and it is wonderful - fresh, fresh, fresh - love their nuts and fruit - there is an equal amount of nuts and fruit, never too much of anything left at the end of the container - no little bits and pieces - all whole pieces - I highly recommend the Cherry Berry.

I have had Ferris nut and cherry mix in the large size and it is the most delicious ever!

I have not tried it in the roasted yet, I usually get the plain kind. I have given so many gifts of these containers of nut and berry cherry mixes, and even had on auto delivery.

I highly recommend them.

I ordered my shipment of the TS on auto delivery, first thing when it aired at midnight.

These individual packets are great, you pay a lot more for less quality at other places/stores. Great for snacks and on the go.

They do contain 2 servings per package, but still even at that, way better than candy bars or cookies or even crackers. Nuts and cherries and cranberries are healthy and nutritious, not just empty calories with no benefits.

I second the recommendation for the Cherry Berry and Nuts mix. If there were choices to just get those, I would have ordered it immediiately. I used to be on AD for those in the larger size and they were amazing. I decided that I didn't really "need" to have those coming, so I cancelled. But, I have no interest in the other half of the combo, so this is a 'no go' for me. If you order, I hope you will enjoy them.

I recieved my shipment of grab and go nuts this morning. Very happy with them.

I had not tried the sesame mix before, so I had to open a bag of each to sample,

I have been snacking on them throughout the day.

Delicious!!! Not salty or greasy or oily at all, the pecans in the berry mix are not like

the big ones they demonstrated, they are very small and broken, but that's ok, still taste

good, the cashews and almonds are pretty big, as are the cherries and cranberries.

The sesame sticks are probably not the healthiest of the bunch, but they are sure tasty,

very crunchy, that mix is a little messy with the peanut skins and the almond slivers and

other little seeds, but all in all very satisfiing.

I wanted to find out if any of you had the same issue I did, when mine arrived yesterday. The packets of the nuts and berries were okay. (I haven't tried any, just referring to the packaging.)

The problem was with the sesame mix. When I opened that box, the first packet I picked up was almost empty; just a few "bits" in the bottom of it. At first, I thought it was an empty wrapper that got enclosed by mistake, but it wasn't. So I weighed it - instead of 1.75 oz. it was 0.80! So I checked all of the packets and six of them were underweight. Three at 1.50 and 2 more at 1.60. (And consider, that includes the wrapper.)

I know things aren't going to be exact, but quality control should be better than that and the weight should be at the minimum stated at the very least.

I noticed a similar variation with the nuts and berries, but no packets that were essentially empty.

I was going to call HSN but, quite frankly, have too much going on at the moment to be bothered packing them up to send back (if that's what they require).

I had these on A/D, but am going to cancel that on the basis of this shipment.

Venezia: I did not have any packages that did not seem full. In fact I was thinking that they may contain closer to 2 ounces each. I open the little bags and pour into a bowl or cup for easier access, and there is a lot in each. My husband just eats them out of the bag, and he did say that he doesn't like the messy-ness of the sesame pack due to the peanut skins, I totally agree, those are horrible and very messy.

We both prefer the cherry nut mix, and there is less content in those, by volume, but weight seems the same.

It is a good value at 83cents each, but we are thinking of cancelling auto ship.

The almonds and cashew are pretty big, and most cherries are decent, but everything else is just average or small and broken.

A lot of the reviews coming in are complaining about mis-representation, due to showing the big whole nuts and fruit and that is not really what you are getting, and some say they never mentioned on air that each bag is 2 servings, They must have missed that part , because the hosts, (not the vendor) did make it a point to say the 2 servings per bag.

I'm sorry you must have gotten a bad shipment, to have so many empty bags or not filled completely. Mine arrived in perfect condition, very neatly packed, and full.

I would contact HSN and or the Ferris Co. and voice my concern and request a replacement box, and hopefully they will be better.

Venezia :..... I wrote a reply to you earlier and thought it posted, I don't know where it went, but it is gone.

The nuts I recieved were all very well packed and full. I would have guessed there were more rather than less in each bag.

The sesame mixture is very messy, even my husband commented on that. We both prefer the cherry nut mix. All those peanut skins are horrible.

I am probably going to cancel auto ship for that reason.

A lot of negative reviews from people that didn't hear the hosts say the packs were 2 servings each, I never heard the vendor say it, but all the hosts made it a point to mention it, and I had an insert in the boxes with all of the ingredients, nutrition, and servings listed.

Also reviews for deception showing all the big whole nuts and fruits, when in reality they are mostly small and broken.

I think they just used the sesame mix as a cheap filler, it would have been better if only the peanuts were all blanched and the slivered almonds were bigger. The taste is ok though.

I would contact HSN and/or the Ferris co. and voice your concern with the under filled bags and ask for a replacement. They are usually pretty accomadating when there are problems. I have talked with some customer reps and most were very helpful.

@PepperMintTea - Thanks for your reply. I know I really should contact HSN or Ferris and at least tell them about the underfilled packs, but sometimes it just seems too much hassle.

Right now I have a visitor from England staying with me and I haven't been well (great timing!), but I probably should contact them so it doesn't happen to anyone else.

The "nuts and berries" tin that I got from Kohl's before was excellent quality, so I just expected the same from this TS and it was disappointing. I'll go read some of the reviews, too.

@Venezia Sorry about your experience with the item. I haven't noticed anything with mine. I have moved them from the boxes to different containers, but I was just moving them, not looking at or noticing anything about them. Based on your experience, I may weigh the packages now and then and see what's what with mine. I have enjoyed the ones I've had so far.

@PepperMintTea You're so right about CS at HSN. I've had good experiences with CS here at the Q too, of course. So I also encourage @Venezia to contact HSN CS with her concerns.

And whoever mentioned two servings per packet...I didn't realize that until I read it here. Not a deal breaker for me. Other things I might "grab n go" with would be much worse, I'm sure.
