Air Fryer & Donuts

Have you ever ate a glazed donut that was cut in half buttered & put in the oven for a few mins.? Yum!!! My mom used to do that with a couple day old dounts. DH bought some donuts Sat so this morning I cut 1 in half buttered it & put in the Air Fryer for 3 mins. YUM!!!!!!!!!!!! It was so good & crispy but not to crispy. Glad there are no more donuts in the house. I hardly ever eat donuts. DH brought home a dozen donuts & I asked what are we going to do with all of those? They were really yummy not so sweet like most donuts I have ate. I like the way this place makes them. It was the 1st time I have had a donut from there. It's just a small family donut shop in town that I had never heard of.

Never tried donuts but it sure sounds good, although I don't eat them due to the calories. But, since you have an air fryer, can you toast a bagel or just toast in the Air Fryer? If so, how is it done, does it have to have butter on it? What temp and what amount of time. I have not tried it as yet!

I have not tried a bagel in it yet. I'm sure you can toast a bagel in it. You don't have to put butter on it. It just takes a little trial & error to figure out what cooking temp & time to cook things. Just set the temp & timer & open the drawer & look at it. When I did the donut I opened the drawer after each min to check it.

I do not eat them often myself due to the calories but I dream of them all the time. Have to pass by D.D. on way home and to work every day. When I do get one I eat on it slowly cutting off just one to two bites at a time. Microwave for about five seconds will soften it up nicely from fridge and a bit longer if it has been in the freezer. I have never put one in the oven though. That should be my "reasoning" for buying one soon is to try the oven science of it all. I bet I have not eaten a whole doughnut at one time in a decade or more. Love them and once I start it is so hard to stop.

I hardly ever eat them. Could not believe DH bought a dozen donuts. I never really cared for glazed donuts because they are so sweet. These donuts don't seem to be sweet like other donuts. They melt in your mouth. Anyways if I'm going to eat a donut i prefer a chocolate cake donut.

LOL!!! DH left 1 glazed donut & took the rest with him to work this morning. It's a good thing after eating it from the Air Fryer. It was so good. I probably would have been bad & ate another one. I just ate an apple for lunch to help make up for my breakfast.

I told DH how good it was. Now he wants to buy more donuts. I told him don't you bring home another dozen donuts. LOL!!! I had to buy 2 air fryers so he could take one to work. He can buy the donuts to take to work & try them.

HAHA.....good one...there is no such thing as "day old" in my house, either...
