I can understand frozen fried chicken in the air fryer, but can fresh coated chicken be used to fry in the fryer?

Or any other batter foods? Fresh onion rings, chicken, pork chops and all other foods we batter and deep fry.

I am wondering of the coatings would brown or burn?

I have the CE air fryer from a several months back. I don't believe you can use a batter but you can use something that breaded.

Yes, I made chicken fingers that were dipped in cornstarch, egg, and coconut and they came out beautifully. They did not burn and the chicken was moist and delicious.

@SarahNJ I made panko breaded bone in pork chops over the weekend and they turned out beautifully.

I dipped them in flour, then egg and then the panko. Spritzed them with olive oil and fried them on about 380 for five minutes a side (they were about a half inch thick and temp/times are approximate as my fryer is not digital).

They were perfectly cooked and juicy!
