Dishwasher Safe?

Anyone purchase K43420 - the this day only cookware set they had on today? Was wondering if they are dishwasher safe. Seems it's gotten mixed reviews; yet no one has mentioned if these are hand-wash only. Thanx.

I don't put any cookware in the dishwasher. I've seen stainless turned dull and the black handles discolor as well.

I always start out with the best of intentions (hand washing), but, usually doesn't last very long!

They sure don't make any mention of it if they are. Maybe during the presentation they did, but, not on the description or questions and answers

I listened to the on-air presentation and the one on-line and no mentioned whatsoever. Kinda thinking maybe not dishwasher safe; but, I thought now all that type of cookware was... Wish someone who has it would answer. Remember I bought RR cookware one time and on-air they stated d/w safe; then when it came the instructions said hand-wash!

I know people do it all the time, but I can't imagine putting pots and pans in the dishwasher. It really takes it's toll on them over time.

Not that I like scrubbing pots, but I just look at it as one of those things I do to keep nice, something I don't want ruined.

I know you're right; and, I should try to do better. Perhaps, it's better if they're not d/w safe - then I'll have no choice but to hand wash...

I don't put cookware, knives or utensils in the dishwasher.

my sister puts skillets in hers. LOL I hand wash the real pricey stuff and skillets most of the time. There's stuff you can buy at walmart made by 'mainstay' think it is that you can put in dishwasher.

ALUMINUM, You Never put in dishwasher. Stainless steel you can though unless you just don't want to take a chance on their word that U can.

I have washed my same 18/10 stainless steel pots (from two different sets by two different maufacturers) in the dishwasher for many years. They still shine like new. Hell would freeze over before I'd spend time at the kitchen sink washing and drying anything made of stainless steel by hand.

I never wash any nonstick pots and pans in the dishwasher, no matter what "brand" or type of nonstick coating they have. My nonstick pans last a long time, because I try to cook and clean them precisely according to factory directions.

As for Le Crueset and other brands of enameled cast iron, I wash the big ones in the dishwasher and the smaller (5 quarts or less) ones by hand--no matter what the factory instructions say. I've not noticed any harm that comes to the enameled cast iron by the dishwasher.

Dishwashers don't have to be set at the hottest and harshest wash settings, and I've even managed to wash crystal wine glasses and sterling silver flatware in the machine on a gentler, quick-wash setting, although I wouldn't try doing this this very often.
