KitchenAid Stand Mixers--Where are they made?

I went to the KitchenAid website. I was trying to find out if their mixers were made in the USA. Unfortunately, only two of their stand mixers were labeled as being "Assembled with pride in Greenville, OH". They were "NSF-Certified" commercial mixers. Prices were $1,000+ and $900. The others don't show where they're made.

I wonder if we're paying "KitchenAid prices" for mixers assembled off shore? If the answer is yes, are they still worth the price?

They are still made in Greenville- just toured the factory last week.

KA make all sizes of mixers there.

We saw all points of the manufacturing of the mixers except the final product and packing.

KA also manufactures the blenders AND hand mixers ( previously manufactured overseas- quality poor) now back in Ohio!

The tour lasted over an hour and was free.

KA employs 500 full time and 400 par time workers

They have a goal of producing 3,000,000 mixers this year with 40% sold overseas.

I do know that a lot of the KA products sold on QVC are now made in China. But I don't know if that has yet spread to the stand mixers.

Then someone from QVC ought to suggest to KitchenAid that they update their website to clearly show where their appliances are made. And, the Show Hosts ought to let viewers know that KitchenAid products are made in the USA. Many of us want to puchase products made in the USA rather than famous brand names that have little to do with the original brand and are manufactured in who-knows-where.

Oh wow! I just looked at this TSV item and notice that it doesn't say a single thing about where it was made. That would tell me that it's NOT made in the US.

I think we all know, good and well, that if it were made in the US it would definitely say so in the item description. They would also be screaming it from the rooftops.

Since I'm not interested in this product I have not seen any of the presentations so I don't know if they have said anything about that or not. Clearly, if it were NOT made in the US there would be no mention of it.

Would be interesting if they got an on-air call and the customer asked them straight-up where it's made.

When I researched online it said the stand mixers are made in the USA and like Chickenbutt said some other things are not.

My info came from Wikipedia. Chickenbutt, you are right in all the presentations not once was it mentioned. And boy have they had a lot of them today. I was watching other

things but everytime i flipped through, it was Kitchenaid again and again. It is a good buy

and the lady who presents it is very nice but she was on a roll today and almost took

over for the hosts. She was excited.

It would have listed it in the specs. Made in the USA.

Was I dreaming 2 weeks ago while taking the KITCHENAID FACTORY TOUR???

THE STAND MIXER, BLENDERS, AND HAND MIXER-----are made in GREENVILLE OHIO!!!

All makes models colors were on several production lines while I took the 1 hour tourr!

Im a proud OHIOan sooo somebody who doesn't believe better be calling the KA FACTORY in Greenville Ohio and be calling its residents!

With all due respect, I don't think that anybody thinks that ALL of the KA products are now made in China. But there are definitely some, particularly now most of what QVC is selling.

Before they stopped showing where products were made on the QVC descriptions you could see that they, beginning with the hand mixers and then to other products, WERE indeed made in China. This was also verified by people receiving the items and seeing that right on the product/box.

On Williams-Sonoma site, the Artisan series says "Made in the USA" while most others say "Designed, engineered and assembled in the USA"--so take that for what it's worth.

I believe that the designations "Made in USA v. "Assembled in USA" has to do with the amount or percentage of the components in the product that come from the USA. For me, either designation is preferable to something made completely offshore, especially if the product is priced as though it was either made in the USA or assembled in the USA.
