I just watched a Thanksgiving show featuring Ina Garten and Bobby Flay, and it made my mouth water . Everything looked wonderful, from his smoked turkey to her gingerbread

cake and everything in between .The sides were just different enough, and Flay made a kind of

fall sangria, that I'm going to try. I thought that those two were an odd pairing , but was

pleasently surprised.

While I am not the biggest Bobby Flay fan, I love Ina and thought the show was great. I agree, I thought they would be an odd pairing but clearly they are old friends and cook well together. Well done Food Network!

I saw this too and loved it. I may try the Sangria and will for sure try the chopped salad. I'm not a HUGE fan of kale, but Bobby's combination of ingredients seemed intriging. And I was looking for something green and lighter to serve on Thursday. And done ahead. Works for me.

They were good together. Bobby's ego didn't surface and I think Ina makes everyone comfortable.

That's one Thanksgiving I'd love to be invited to! Can you just imagine having the big dinner prepared by those two very successful food gurus?

I was cooking my macaroni sauce but I did see some of it. Not crazy about Bobby but I do watch Ina's show every day. Couple of years back, Bobby did say you could slather your bird with oil. Leave uncovered and put in oven. It was so good. Nice and brown and crispy and so juicy.

Other than watching Ina from time to time, I've given up on Food Network. But I really enjoy watching her shows.

We could probably write volumes about the various chefs and cooks we've watched and learned from over the years. I find that Bobby Flay's energy level fits right in with mine and love his approach to food. Many a note has been taken while watching his shows. The ego that is mentioned is so not there for me, compared to a whole slew of just dreadful internationally recognized chefs. Give me Flay any day.

Though I've only seen Ms. Garten's program a few times, I just don't enjoy watching her, but snatch up a good recipe of hers when I can find it fits a need.

SF - It re-airs on Monday, 11/23, at 4pm (Pacific Time on the pacific feed).

Then again on Wed, 11/25, at 1pm.

That's all I see. Check your guide in case times are different.

Oh and, BTW - It's an episode of 'Barefoot Contessa'. Episode name 'A Barefoot Thanksgiving', OAD 11/15/15.

I hope you don't mind me chiming in here but they are also rerunning Thanksgiving at Bobby's from last year which I must have missed because it was new to me when I watched it today. It is being rerun early Tuesday the 24th morning (8:30 CST) for those that may want to see it.

I like Ina and Bobby- in fact, I would say the shows on FN are more dependent on the show format these days than the personality of the chef in many cases-

For example, I used ot love Alton Brown on "Good Eats" but he showed such a mean streak on the seasons he was on "Next Food Network Star" that now i think the jerky characer he plays on "Cutthroat Kitchen", is so obnoxious I just cant stand to watch..

Damaris, I didnt like at all on NFNS, but have grown to LOVE her show..

Hi Tam! Same here with Alton Brown. I did like him in the days of his older shows, even the road trip shows. But now I find myself avoiding him. I did try to watch his 'Cutthroat Kitchen' show a couple of times and I just couldn't hang. It was just too ridiculous.

As for Damaris - same here, too! I would not have chosen her in a million years. She was profoundly annoying. But I have to say that when her show started I decided to give it a chance and I'm still watching.

I have to completely agree about my personal complete turnaround thanks to @ChiliPepper(thank you Chili!).

I was never a huge fan during FN Star of Demaris but Chili mentioned a while ago how much she enjoyed her show and I started to watch . . . egad, what I have been missing! She is a natural on camera and I love her recipes and tips!

I love Ina Garten! Never did care for Bobby, simply can't watch Guy, that Farm Lady (wow does she go heavy on the booze!), and like others now Alton. I enjoy watching Jacque P. on PBS, the old Julia Child shows, and Lidia B. Oh and I LOVE the PBS series Martha Stewart does!

Trisha Y. is sort of fun to watch, Pioneer Lady ok, and then there's the Kitchen, which I can watch usually but don't love.

Fun to compare notes! Oh, and I'd like Sarah Moulton if she'd ditch the skillet once in awhile. How many shows can you watch of someone standing over a skillet?

Hi Sooner! I'm not a fan of that 'Farm Lady' either. She reminds me of somebody else who I find profoundly unappealing. I feel like that's who she is trying to be/replace.

Not a fan of the Pioneer Lady one either. She seems so fake and that 'Joker' smile just kind of freaks me out. So forced!

I like 'The Kitchen', EXCEPT that Sunny Anderson is so annoying that I will FF through a segment she does. She's still unavoidable because she forces her annoying self into everything but I really like all the others on the show. If she weren't there I would really enjoy the show a LOT more.

If anyone is looking to do something different -and lighter- with Turkey leftovers, the "heartland chopped salad" that Bobby andina made on this episode is out of this world good. I made the salad as a lighter side for Thanksgiving yesterday and just finished the leftover with some Turkey added. It held up remarkably well because it's made with kale and spinach and the dressing was so worth my tracking down the pomegranate molasses. Fwiw.
