After having problems with Keurig products, a few years ago I purchased a MrCoffee "Keurig type" coffee pot. It's still going strong and makes great coffee.

Alternatives to Keurig?

I enjoy my Keurig -- but the coffee it makes just isn't as hot as I'd like. Have any of you used other single cup coffee makers that you like? I'm thinking about getting the one by Bunn. Any suggestions? The temp of the coffee is very important to me.....

I'm like you, I have to have my coffee HOT and the Keurig we have now (sold on QVC about 2 years ago that also will dispense water) I have it set to 192 degrees and that's a hot cup! I have to have it hot enough that I can't quite sip it because it's so hot. My Keurig has a digital display screen that has a lot of options..... I know they make them out there that will dispense realy hot coffee.

I think the Bunn is an excellent product, so is the Cuisinart. And isn't there a new one out that starts with Nes.... something, heard that one is good as well.

But I'm extremely happy with my Keurig (but won't be buying the 2.0 or related...).....

I have had the Keurig that I purchased at Costco for many years. When it dies I am definitely looking into the Bunn. It doesn't have all the bells and whistles to go wrong!

Q4U - I'm impressed that u have a Keurig that allows you to set the temp.....I can't do that with mine.

We got rid of our Keurigs. I got tired of buying k-cups and not trusting what chemicals were leeching into my coffee. And, Keurig wouldn't give me any information. Plus, I drink decaf, and prefer a naturally decaffeinated coffee.

So, we bought a Hamilton Beach dual coffee maker. I can make a single cup of my favorite decaf on one side, or we can make a whole pot full of coffee in the glass carafe, on the other side.

When I first got the coffee maker, I had two k-cups left. So, I opened one and used it to make a single cup of coffee in the Hamilton Beach. It actually tasted much better than it did when made in the Keurig.
