He has great products on his show. Sometimes, he gets a little hyper, though. I get tired of watching him swirl food on his tongue. I watch the show because I enjoy the products.

I second that!!! He is by far the friendliest of all the hosts, I enjoy watching all his programs. He does a nice job, I like his comedy and the happy dance. He takes your mind off your troubles when you watch his shows.

So I'm loving David Venable too!!!

Love a man who loves (and respects) his mother- I bet he is a wonderful friend.

And I will say, his culinary skills have so greatly improved since he took over the Sunday morning show- He really takes his job on ITKWD very seriously, though he makes it look like fun, I know he works very hard....

David just missed his mouth and jumbled some words and some of the staff got tickled. It may show up on Talk Soup !! He recovered quite well.

love him on ITKWD he is funny and of course, you can see how relaxed he is in the kitchen. I admire him for how pleasant he is to the callers, vendors and the biggest fan of all "his mom"!

Normally don't watch him in other segments (or any other hosts for that matter unless it's Kitchen show).

Sure don't get all the hype because he loves and respects his mother. That should be a given for anyone who was raised by a decent mom. Actually, I think the father/son relationship can be a more difficult one, and I respect a man who honors his father.

Oh Aunt G you should know what your talking about before you come into a positive conversation with negative comments! If you have watched David long enough he tells the audience that he loves and respects his "Single" mother for her love and hard work.

So what's all the hype? The hype is the story of a loving, respectable, hard working single mother who raised happy and loving children who have happy lives and a son who loves and appreciates her work and efforts.

Sometimes it's better to say nothing when discussing a mans life unless you know the history. In today's social nothing is a given everything including love and respect are earned not as you say "Should be a given".

David ,I think your relationship with your mother is wonderful, loving, and the sign that you two love each other very much and that's a pleasant blessing in life.

Sadly, many sons do not grow up with postive paternal influence, my son among them..Yet he grew up to be a wonderful man and father despite having a father who abandoned him.

Whatever the reason and it is none of my business, it could NOT have been easy for his mom to be raising three children alone in the 1960's

David certainly has a right to his privacy, and should protect it- this is a quote from the artcle about him earlier in the year:

"Like all QVC hosts, he is protective of his personal life. Lisa Robertson, the popular longtime fashion host, left this year in part because years of dealing with multiple stalkers had taken a toll. Mr. Venable has been the subject of unflattering blog posts about his body and his sex life. He smiles kindly and politely asks that his private life be kept private."
