Aldi Rip Off part 2 as the stomach churns. LOL

Well, I had a dr appointment near the local Aldi's and stopped in to get cooking oil and other things. Well, low and behold there were two turkey fryers on the shelf. I had to laugh, I worried about getting one and nobody wants either one. Mine is coming by Fedex tomorrow. I can sit and look at it until Thanksgiving. Better yet, I have a duck in the freezer and may fry it up soon.

So after accusing the store of ripping people off and being guilty of :bait and switch," they have the product that you spent all this time and effor tto complain about?

Nothing personal OP, but I'm getting really tired of people ranting and raving about Aldi's. We don't have them here and I don't give a hoot about what they're selling today. We do have other stores but I wouldn't think of boring people with their weekly ads. Same with Costco which we do have but don't care to pay to shop there.

In all fairness, it was not the OP who complained about "bait and switch" it was another poster... The OP said from the beginning that she HAD been able to purchse the item, just had to do it online....

Actually, mothertrucker, the OP had opened an earlier thread in which she stated a problem with not finding the advertised turkey fryer from Aldi's and felt some unfairness about that. That's what the subsequent thread was referring to. I'm glad she eventuallly got what she wanted.

Honny Brown's misdirected post to me used the same phrase used in the thread title by the OP--"rip off". Sooner did allude to "bait and switch", but Sooner's post was not referenced in Honny's post to the OP.

The OP went to Aldi's to purchase 1 of the turkey fryers they have on sale. Aldi's did not have it in stock when the ad started on Weds. No rip-off about that. Our Aldi's generally never has all things in their ad out & ready to purchase Weds the day their ad starts. Aldi's is not the only store that does this. Half the time I go to a store to purchase something in their ad they don't have it. The OP ordered the fryer from some place else only to find that Aldi's had it in the store the next day. FYI wait a day or 2 after their ad comes out before you go shopping.

Like the old " telephone" game! LOL! I sell commercial trucks for a living..vehicle sales is highly regulated, and I guess my ears ****** up when I hear the words "bait and switch" thrown about. Those are very serious charges....
