A friend was cleaning out her relatives house and gave me two old percolators, as she has heard me talk about trying one. I've always used Mr. Coffee drip pots. Anyway, I'm running them through with Dip It now. One doesn't have a top on the basket. Is that required for making the coffee correctly?
