For those of you that ordered the recent Lock & Lock TSV with gift bags, what goodies do you plan on putting in them and gifting?

I didn't get this years, but did last year. I put my homemade cookies and candies in them to give to family and neighbors for Christmas. Not exactly original, but well received.

Mine arrived today and now I can see why the shipping cost was kind of high - the box is huge!

I haven't opened them yet, but I'll be filling mine with these cookies that I posted on another thread. These get stale quickly, so I'll won't be making them and packing them until mid-December.

ETA: great thread - I'm looking forward to some new ideas!

I didn't purchase the last TSV but I own lots of Lock & Lock and here is what I would do. If you know someone who has a dog or cat you could put their favorite treats inside as a cute holiday gift for the pet. Or if you have someone on your list who is a bird-lover or owns birds of their own you could put bird seed inside (wild bird or otherwise). I have two canaries and a sun conure and I store their bird seed in these in the fridge and it keeps it nice and fresh! Just a couple suggestions... :-)

I'm going to make some of this candy which will go with a small knitted item & giving to 5 people who did me a very special favor earlier this year. Ingredients are a bit expensive, so I only make it for a few special people.

Recipe came from a grocery store flyer & exact quantities were not provided. I recommend making a small amount the first time so you can get a sense of how it turns out:

Dark chocolate - I use Lindt bars, about 85% cacao

Dried cherries

Toasted pumpkin seeds

Melt the chocolate & stir in the cherries & pumpkin seeds; stir well to coat all with the chocolate. Drop by spoonfuls onto waxed or parchment paper. Store in airtight container - if it lasts that long. LOL!

Actually last year, used bags, not bowls for gifts. The bowls work really well for portion sizes when I do crockpot meals for my husband. (He eats more). But I think anything food-wise or even craft-size as a gift would work. I love the bowls for excess food.

I have bought these sets with the gift bags in the past. I put chocolate dipped pretzel nuggets in them. People love the treat and then they have a lock and lock container to use.

I'm making some homemade chocolate fudge and some peanut butter fudge and putting some of each in each container and bag. Giving them as Christmas gifts to my mailman, UPS driver, Pastor, Youth Pastor and a couple of friends. I might make pralines also.
