I noticed the other day under "New Arrivals" that Harry London had a new selection of all Buckeyes. Being a big fan, I went back in yesterday to order and could not find them anywhere. Then I noticed that Harry London has a TSV on Sunday....bet they will be in those shows. Wonder what other surprises we will see?

I've never purchased Harry London candies, but boyyyyy, talk about temptation. This year, I just may give in. Life is too short to not enjoy chocolate when you can.

A couple of years ago I ordered a TSV Harry London chocolate assortment in gift tins. Good thing I checked the chocolate before gifting (I checked too late for return) most of the buckeye & milk chocolates were kind of squashed and not suitable for gifting. They tasted ok but ruined my gift idea. They were too expensive for the quality and I won't order again. They do look tempting but I just think back on my disappointment and take a pass.

I've ordered the tins every year for gifting, very often the TSVs and I always check them out before they go into the box to send (since they are individually wrapped, it's easy) and have never, ever had a problem. No old pieces either (with ugly white on them), so I've been very happy with them... and of course I will hold back a tin for my family to enjoy and boy do they enjoy them!!

@judgejudith If I were you I'd order chocolates from Godiva.com. While I too LOVE buckeyes and great chocolate, Godiva is THE ONLY place I buy from online and absolutely LOVE every little oh so tasty morsel. They package beautifully, NEVER any broken or crushed pieces, easy to order online at any and every price point you wish to spend. They also do bill to/ship to and they always arrive on time.

I highly recommend you at least take the time to check out Godiva chocolates.

I didn't care for this line either. Interestingly enough, the Waggoner's line (which is the same family) is a hundred times better.

I just didn't feel like the quality of the ingredients was at all good. I also purchased them for my gift bags once. I tried each variety and decided that none of them were worthy. Oh well - live and learn.

YMMV, however.

Not a big fan of HL chocolates. They are ok, but not worth the money to me.

I make my own buckeyes, from a very old family recipe, and the secret is in the chocolate used. I get told all the time that they are the best.

I used to order the big tins of the Harry London, but I found that every third candy was a Buckeye. Way too many of that flavor! Now I love peanut butter, but hate it in candy, much less chocolate. ICk!! Stopped buying HL and found other better tasting brands.

Have any of you ever purchased "Giannios Chocolates"? They are an "American Family owned Chocolate Company" and have been in business since 1910. I first found them on HSN...Let me tell you they are "Fantastic"! 269 FIVE STAR Rating...That in itself says alot. Seriously, you will not be disappointed with this candy company. They have their own website Giannios.com and the big tins 5 lbs of chocolates are indivudally wrapped with the name of the candy on the wrapper. I have gifted these so many times and have always received rave reviews and very well appreciated 'Thank You's".

I switched to Giannos three years ago. Love the marshmallow covered with dark chocolate! Gifted many and everyone loves them!!

Last October 19th (2014) I ordered and received the five 1 lb. Harry London Nutcracker tins, and the total was $57.18 - "out the door"- ha! There was a choice of Nutcracker tins or Cottage tins. The tins are very well made and beautiful - not like some you get popcorn in and get dented easily. We were very happy with the quality of the candy, for the price, including the tins! It included 5 lbs of candy! Right now, the Nutcracker Tins are 3 for $44.12.....

We have See's Candy where we live, and there is NO CANDY that I have had that can beat it! I've only tried Godiva a piece at a time, but it is more expensive than See's.... It depends on what we're ordering it for, I guess...

MominOhio, I agree with you about HL chocolates. Waggoner chocolates is so close to where I live, that I can probably throw a stone and hit the store, LOL. (I live in North Canton)

Would you be willing to share the buckeye recipe with me, or others here? I am intriqued with your mention of the secret of the chocolate. I am so intruqued, that I would be willing to post my personal email here, just until you get it, then delete it. Will check back here Wednesday evening.

I agree about Sees. It wouldn't be Christmas if I wasn't given a pound of See's rum nougats. I also love the milk chocolate with strawberry cream center.

I've never heard of Waggoner's, but remember when Harry's used to be on HSN, the vendor's last name was Waggonner.

She's a show host on Evine now. Can't think of her first name.

I do remember she alluded to the fact she was *family* to the HL line of candies. So she must be family to the Waggoner line too!
