Romary, sometimes watching a handbag show or even a bedding show with the sound turned off is hilarious. The host make lerv to the items with all the stroking and fondling ;-)

The description of a food item being sold might sound great to me, but most of the time, especially with cakes and coffee cakes, the super close-up camera views of these items just make me think "yuck!" They are often SO close you can't even tell what it is you're looking at, or they zoom in on a particular ingredient (like cream cheese or streusel) that, while your head knows "tasty", your eyes through QVC's camera lens think "ewww."

Everyone's TVs are different. Some people have HD, some don't, and TV makes and cable companies all have an effect on what colors and details viewers see. Sometimes, it looks gross and would change my mind about purchasing. Just a suggestion.

Too much messin' with food is counter-productive, IMO. Same with rubbing an arm over and over again the entire hour. Enough is enough..........

I hear ya, Moonchilde...our HD big screen sometimes shows TOO much.

I'm also not a fan of food fondling. Use a fork and cut open a crab cake. Drives me nuts when they pull them apart, one after another....

Rick presented Sweet Endings cakes during ITKWD last night. Instead of looking "moist", it looked raw. They kept zooming in to show all the "stuff" piled on top of the cake, which also looked underbaked. It was nauseating.

HofS, that presentation is exactly what prompted my OP. The close-ups of those cakes were so odd-looking. It almost didn't look like food, and it wasn't at all appetizing or even close.

As nice and beautiful as a vendor is, all of that shoulder and arm rubbing, over and over again........(shame on me)......lol. ....
