I bought a case of mixed Roger's Family Coffee pods for my Keurig. They are wonderful, but a stronger brew than I'm used to from K-Cup. Could this be because of the type of pod they use or is it just better coffee?

It's much better coffee and fresher than the other K-cups that sit on grocery shelves or wherever you purchase them (i.e. Target, online etc.) San Francisco Bay Coffee is a family owned business and roasts them in smaller batches. Their company used to be in the Bay area, but moved to Loomis, California, a very small town where my son and daughter-in-law used to live. Costco sells the French Roast K-cups at Costco and some of the whole bean coffees. I've been purchasing whole beans from them for over 15 years. My favorites are Rainforest Blend and Fog Chaser. To me French Roast is much too strong. I haven't tried the Donut Shop blend. I also love Peet's Dickinson's Blend.

Thanks! That is what I thought. The pods are great and wonderfully priced for K-Cups plus they are recyclable.

I've started drinking them, too. My favorite is the French Roast. I love that they are bio-degradable.

tigriss, I don't know if you've noticed, but on the smaller boxes at least, Rogers recommends that all of their coffees brew as 8 oz cups. If some are a little stronger than you're used to, you could try brewing them as 10 oz cups. What I love about the Rogers coffees is that even their milder roasts have distinct, robust flavor.
