DYSON - STOP!!!!

I actually saw the presentation by the regular vendor hawking Dyson's "personal fan" on sale for $99. Yes, you heard right.

Have you ever heard of anything so ridiculous? What can their version of a portable personal fan POSSIBLY do toS warrant such a price tag?

Absolutely ridiculous.

Btw, I own the Dyson blow dryer which is great, as well as one of their higher end vacuums but come on!!!

I feel just the opposite, @fitfuninformed. I think spending hundreds of dollars on a blow dryer or hair styler, or vaccum cleaner, is absolutely ridiculous. I may not use it often but I do find value in this little fan and can envision occasions where I'd be glad to have it, even if only a few times over the summer. We were at Graceland last year and it was unbearably hot and humid as we waited in line at the mansion and as we walked around Memphis. I'll take it with me whenever we're going to be out and about during summer. I figured out how to order one thru the app so I could get $20 off today.

I've got this one. I use it for drying down my skincare when I'm in a rush but I could also use it outside as needed. As far as hair drying goes, I probably spent more on my diffuser than my dryer. My main requirements for a dryer was separate fan speed and temp controls and that it fit my diffuser.

I would have a hard time justifying paying that for a mini fan. There are some really nice personal fans out there and they don't cost that much.

I've moved on from Dyson vacuum cleaners. There are better options.

however, I love my hair dryer and space heater/ fan. I might consider this small fan. When I get hot, I'd do anything to feel more comfortable!

I'm someone who has a difficult time cooling down once I get hot, sweat will roll down my face & body like I'm standing under a shower head. I'd happily pay that much if it had decent running time & moved lots of air, needless to say I despise the summer heat. Expensive hairdryer, no. Expensive personal fan that works for me...yes, Yes, YES.

Amazon to the rescue...again. When I ordered the Dyson this morning it was a completely spontaneous purchase. I was just on Amazon and there are many options. I saw a rechargeable neck style that looks interesting. I'm canceling the Dyson.

I broke down and got a Dyson hairdryer a while back, and I love it. Yes, it's high priced because they hold a patent, and right now cn charge those prices. I will say I own 3 of the Dyson air purifier/heater/air conditioner. I coukdnt live without thise. All 3 are different as I have bought them over a 20 year period I think. The original is still going strong.

Last year I bought a set of two GeekAire rechargeable personal fans on HSN and love them. I think I paid about $25.

I went to HSN to check the name and item number, and my orders go back only 120 days. Huh, that's weird.

The ones I purchased are no longer offered, but I took a chance on them because they had so many good reviews.

I'm getting the Dyson personal fan. As a self proclaimed polar bear, I cannot stand the summer or the heat. I have a terrible time at work, which is not an office but different store locations.

I have already tried :

1. the kind that goes around your neck (from Amazon, too uncomfortable for me)

2. The one that costs $350 that you wear on your wrist (great concept but poor execution)

3. 3 or 4 other handhelds from Amazon--all too weak or too flimsy.

I trust Dyson and if I need to spend $99 I will.

The posters with the "enough"s and" stop"s ....too dangerous for their own blood pressure for things they cant control or even purchase.

Perfectly said @LizzieInSRQ ! I really feel there are some people who watch or check the website just to find topics to post about--especially price. I don't think a single day goes by that someone isn't outraged by a price.

Then there are so many on a different thread who refuse to use an app to get a 20 or 25% discount too. QVC cannot exist in the 21st century with customers like these. Thank goodness they're leaning into socials and away from the old school.

if anybody has actually purchased one of those cheap personal fans, I guarantee it you get what you pay for.

I would buy this little fan in a minute, it's not only a little personal fan but you can set it up on a desktop or a bedside table for a decent fan which would be great if you are traveling. it's rechargeable and you can run it with it plugged in. Most European B&B's and Inns don't have air-conditioning and this would be an absolute godsend

I purchased a small pink hand held fan from Amazon for less than $15. I use it to dry skincare layers before my SPF. I'd never spend $99.
