Currentbody Mask

Hi All,

So a few of us purchased this mask back in January. The return window is closing in on us and I'm wondering if people are keeping or returning the mask?

Are you using it consistently? Have you seen changes?

Hi @Shaunac. I've being using a Current Body mask for a long time and upgraded to the version sold as the last tsv they had. It's hard for me to tell specifically what each treatment modality does for me since I use several things. I think I get some firming of my face and clearer complexion with the Current Body mask. I'm into maintaining what I have at this point. I plan to continue using the Current Body mask.

I also bought the upgraded CB mask, like @Jk9 did, after I had used the original one for a couple of years. It helps reduce the redness I have plus firms my skin. I have been using a mask every other day since the first day I bought the original one. I don't plan on stopping any time soon.

My advice is to send it back if you are not happy with it. You can always buy a different one later but if you keep the one you have then you might have regrets later on.

@Shaunac I bought this same mask Dec 1st from Amazon....Used it 2 month with no results so i returned it.I had read it takes 3 months for skin to renew so i bought this one from QVC to see if using it longer would help..I used this one 1 month so a total of 3 months...Still no results but because i was getting these red spots on left side of my face from this device i decided to return...I still have a couple spots 2 months later.I would have kept it longer if it wasn't for those darn it!

I mixed on this but I think I'm keeping it. I have to say my skin is very damaged. I was a 70s kid so sunbathing was the norm. The real damage came though when I got a terrible unexplainable burn one day out of nowhere. I had always tanned with no burn but one day after like 20 minutes I had the worst burn ever and we aren't talking the normal burn with peeling. Like I looked like I'd been in a fire.

So with that I've had some success. Lines around my mouth are better. One side of my face the crepey stuff is almost gone. I'm in the car a lot so the other side it's gotten rid of some of that. I do feel like overall my skin looks better. Can't reallly explain what that means though.

On the other hand it has made bags under my eyes worse. I never had a real problem with that. The only time I had visible bagginess was if used something too moisturizing under my eyes before sleep and then I'd wake up with them. They aren't puffy or anything. This mask definitely brings that out. Weird. So things to weigh in the next few days but I guess I'm likely keeping it.

I also purchased the original version direct from Currentbody around four years ago. Within the first month some of the lights went out. I contacted CS and I had to jump through a few hoops to prove my case. They sent a replacement but it wasn't an exact model. The mask seemed ok but the control bar was a little different. My goal was to look my best for our daughter's wedding so I was very faithful with my sessions. Sometimes I'd do an AM and a PM session on the same day, in order to maximize the benefits. I even dragged it along when we'd travel in order to not lose any ground. I did have some evening and brightening to my skin tone, but it was a lot of commitment and time invested to get it. The wedding happened and I looked nice. But if I never did a thing to my face, I still would have looked nice and no one would have thought otherwise. Eventually I was just overwhelmed by the burden of sticking to a schedule for my sessions and having to make plans around them. For what? So I can chase illusive youth? It's not happening. I'm a senior citizen.

Along the line, Currentbody came out with a lip device that I bought too. It looked like a giant pacifier and was supposed to take care of lip wrinkles. I also had a QC issue with it. After awhile it wouldn't hold a charge, but out of warranty so too late to do anything about it. Another waste of money. Honestly, I don't have much confidence in the brand.

And while I'm typing, I'll admit I had a NuFace once - never used it so i sold it. I also have a NIRA Precision that I was tied to but have since quit. It's back in its box and I'd give it away if I knew someone who wanted it.

Truth be told, it was a lot of time, burdensome, overwhelming, and I foolishly wasted a lot of money for vanity's sake. I'm a big believer in skincare and I'll go down swinging on that part of things, but I'm done with being tied to these fountain of youth devices. Aging happens. Nothing is going to stop it.

I stopped buying gizmos and gadgets years ago, all broke in no time and no results. I agree with Jean, I stick to what I believe is quality skin care.

I will continue to use beauty devices. Technology changes with each passing year and I like to explore new technology when it becomes available. It's what I like to do.

I have been using a LED face mask for at least 10 years. Started either the hard plug in mask to the Currenbody that I use now.Not sure if anything is working but at 74 I am told my skin looks great.

I'm not trying to be something I'm not, but Iike to maintain myself and will continue to use devices as long as I find value in them. I know for a fact that my skin is less wrinkled and more even toned than my sisters. I like routines and use my tools and devices regularly. I feel fortunate to have access to such products. It's good to do what works for you.

I had used something before getting this mask and it seemed that it at least had softened the expression wrinkles (lips and the muscles on either side of my "1" line). What I mean by that is that they recovered more quickly after an expression, making them less visible. I stopped using it because it was just uncomfortable. Plus, it had to be plugged in, so that limited where I could do it.

Over time I felt like the expression lines were losing their bounce-back, so I bought the CB mask. It's more comfortable although it's too large for my face and I feel like only the top lip is getting treated unless I sit there with my mouth open.

I really don't expect to have dramatic results that would cause someone to look at me and think I had work done or anything.

I only use mine like 3X/Week. I use something else also on alternate days with a one day break where I don't use anything.

Also, after my experience with the Hairmax, I won't travel with any of my devices, at least not to altitude.

@Jk9 I couldn't agree with you more!

I too look far more youthful than my three sisters (I'm second oldest) and also everyone I know and meet. Even women much younger than me. It surprises me actually when people bring up age - I try to avoid the conversation, makes me uncomfortable.

i firmly believe that taking good care of my skin has truly paid off and I too will continue my self care. I personally do not feel it is too time consuming and worth it in the long run - It proves itself time and time again!
