I use Madison Reed home coloring for my hair. Its an Ulta deal today and I need to restock. I usually switch between 5.5NNN Modena (true Medium Brown) and 6.5 NNA Sodrino (Soft Medium Neutral Brown). I was looking at the color chart and saw 5.5NNA Dosolo Brown (Medium Neutral Brown). I will say that I think that the Modena is a little on the dark side, but, my greys are very resistant to color.I dont want anything with a red undertone.

Any help on what the difference in the colors are?

I actually did go the Madison Reed site and found a color chart that I have not seen before. I think that Sondrio will work the best.

I once had a hair color question when using Madison Reed. You were able to get to a colorist emailing or through a live chat. They answered very quickly. I do not know if they still have this option but you can call to find out. I remember the hours were Monday to Friday till I think 4pst.

I use Naturtint 5N and take it to the Beauty Salon for my hair stylist to apply instead of using what the salon stocks. I used to do it myself, but shoulder issues, etc. result in a better job when the stylist does it. I think it might be the shade of brown you are looking for, but it is hard to describe exact color. It is a medium brown without highlights or undertones and looks very natural on me. The reason I started using it is that it does not contain any ammonia. I buy an annual supply online at a very reasonable price and do not remember where i bought it last year. I do price comparison whenever I buy my annual supply. Online pictures may be helpful in determining which Naturtint color might work for you if you are interested in this brand.

Madison Reed is excellent. Customer service is great as well. I don't use it, but two of my daughters use it and love it. One goes to the Madison Reed salon every now and then when she finds time. They even have a special program to get roots and hair done there. The color she gets is fabulous. Shiny, vibrant. Quality is excellent as well
