RMS Eyelights Cream Shadow Question…

Hi. I just received a tube from Amazon and there is no foil seal under cap to insure it was not contaminated, is this usual? I bought on Amazon as the color wasn't available here. Box was crushed as was in envelope. This is my first experience with this brand. There was no key on it either to roll up as used. TIA, Susi.

It sounds like you got a bad one, @Susic. I honestly can't recall if there was a seal foil on mine but that seems to be common practice now so I think it's missing as opposed to originally not included. You definitely should have gotten a key.

Return it and try again or order elsewhere. Sometimes they're on Walmart dot com and always the RMS website.

A word of caution - squeeze super gently or it will ooze all over. If you're using a brush, just stick it in the opening to pick up a little product.. Less waste that way and you can repeat until you're satisfied with the application.

@Susic I can't remember if there was a foil seal on mine. However it your are unsure, return it. The key is a super cool feature.

Thank you for reply. I have the duo from QVC coming Tuesday so will see. I will probably return to Amazon and buy from RMS website as they have color I want. Unless someone knows if they come sealed. I don't want to take a chance on eye infection.

@rockygems123 - Mountain Mist is a grey. It's part of the Cashmere line. IT has a matte finish. I'm more into neutrals now and use that one when appropriate. The Strobe is a good one too. Shimmer, a taupey shade.

@rockygems123 I am not sure... I have spark, and I like it. I just looked at the website, and they have many choices. I lean toward more natural shades. I love color, i just don't use a lot. I am going out later, so I will put that one on! I enjoy her makeup. Her blush is fantastic. I know I am off topic.

Franklinbelle. The color is Strobe which is Rosemary's favorite color according to an on line video. So figured I would start there. I don't look good in gray colors. Is there a medium to dark beige or tan in collection. Maybe in a matte color ?

I got Supernova and Strobe from RMS site. Also, Halo from ebay. Have not tried any of her cream shadows yet, but listen to a YT blogger I liked, who said these are waaay better than matte shadows. So, will see.

RMS eyelights didn't work for me. I tried both regular and matte. Because of my oily eyelids, even with using a primer, they didn't work. Tried without a primer and they didn't work. Within a short time they were gone off my eyelids and crept up into my crease. Was like I had no eyehadow on at all.

If you have oily lids, try them they may work for you, but I suggest you try them with a primer and without a primer to see if they are for you.

Yes, I read that too about Matte shades.
Just wondering if anyone knows if they come sealed or not?. I hate to return if none of them come sealed anyway. I would think sealed or shrink wrap for that type of product.

@Susic - the mattes aren't bad, just different. They dry down quickly, both versions do. It's always an option to tap a little shimmer on top, if that's the look you want.

The "cashmeres" have a pointed tip so no foil. I can't recall if they were wrapped. Someone at RMS can help you with that.

These shadows are my most used. Have probably six of them. I wish rms would come out with a blue. I think an icy he would be gorgeous in the shimmer ones. The matte ones don’t interest me. I still have 3 more I want from the shimmer ones

I recently bought the RMS eye shadow in the tubes from QVC and they had the aluminum covering over the tube opening as you inquired. I store my tubes in a cool spot because the eye coloring seems to come out very fast when you take the cap off.
