Favorite Tinted Sunscreen

When I am too lazy to put on foundation I just like to wear a tinted sunscreen. I am now using either RMS or Tacha. Both are nice, but leave my face too shiny. My skin is in the light range so I have to be careful that something does not come off too dark, which seems to be a problem. Any suggestions are appreciated and thank you.

I use Laura Mercier. They sell it here on the Q. I like the coverage and not too thick. Bare Minerals makes one with better coverage but I find it too thick. There are a lot to choose from. Getting the right shade isn't akways easy

i use Mally's face defender to take the shine away. It is great. It's still available on Ebay abd I presume other places. For me it works like a charm

I use a tinted primer with sunscreen I think from Laura Geller. It’s really nice. Then I tap on a powder to set it.

COLORSCIENCE makes a matte brush-on SPF 50. Comes in 4 different shades. $70

Has a lot of good reviews.

A734795 DR Denese 40 SPF tint that adjusts to your complexion. Has 2 colors , better than Bare Minerals SPF tint.

@SilleeMee Interesting. I have used this brand in the past and liked it. Never tried this powder form is it a very " powered " finish to the point your skin looks dullish. Do you know if changes the shade of your foundation?

The best I can describe is that it's much like a tinted setting powder. It's sheer and matte. They also make universal neutral shade that is their 'glow' formulation where it gives the skin luminosity and is made for mature, dry/normal/oily skin. Have not used that one. Just the regular powder SPF.

@Janey2 - I am light complected too (neutral/warm). My two favorites are bareMinerals Complexion Rescue (sometimes Birch, sometimes Vanilla) and ILIA Super Serum Skin Tint SPF40 (Diaz). I use both at various times.

@Teddixat - I have used this forever, and I'm sad we won't have it any longer. Last night I got all excited. There were two left on Amazon for $50 each. I was ready to get them, then realized they were the travel size. I already have one of those, and I'm NOT going to spend $50 for one!

So I will keep looking. I've never ordered makeup on ebay, and I'm a little nervous about doing that. Eventually that will run out too, so I'll have to find another substitute. I used another before when Mally first sold her company, but that brand is also gone! It was OK, but not great.

If you find out about something, please let me know!

@skatting44 I love this one, too! Good coverage, doesn't take a lot of product, and adjusts perfectly to my skin tone (I'm a light/med, use Laura Geller Light B&B). I use the Natural in Dr. Denese. I've recommended this to a couple of people and they like it, too.

There are only two shades, though, Natural & Rich.

I used to love Laura Meicer but something was changed about 6-7 years ago and I don't think it's as good. Too bad.

I recently tried Dr Denese's in the "natural" shade but returned it as the shade was too dark for my complexion.

- DRMTLGY Tinted Moisturizer SPF 46 Matte or Dewy

- ELTA MD 100% Mineral Tinted Moisturizer SPF 41

All three above are my favorites. I alternate them and buy a different one each time. I also use a makeup sponge to smooth it out on my skin.

@Janey2 im currently using Missha spf 42...ordered from Amazon.

I like it alot.

I also love Hawaiian tropical spf 30 powder...makes my skin look smoth and satiny...covers pores well. You can use it as a finishing powder or by itself...but i need extra protection, so I combine it with other skincare.

Just a tip...the dispenser it comes in, is horrible....so I emptied it into a little compact container, with small holes inside the lid for for dispensing, then use a brush.

I've had some bad burns as a kid, and walk the dog year round daily, so now I really rely on sunscreen a lot-

I use and like BM Complexion Rescue (SPF30) and Dr. Denese (SPF40).

If you want a drugstore sugggestion that I think is good too, CeraVe Skintint, blends well and SPF 30.

Lastly, I recently tried Supergoop, MatteScreen- it's a very smooth whipped texture (SPF 40), and I love the feel of it- All are a physical sunscreen.

I've been using Shiseido oil free for years. It's not tinted, per se, but it somehow covers any redness you may have. I always wear a face base product over it but I don't need to. I love it.
