My favorite, and I too have thin hair, is Pantene Shaping Mousse. I use it with my perm and my hair is so soft and especially after washing (with Head N Shoulders) it's beautiful. The gray mixed with brown, I love it.

I would like suggestion's.I have natural curl and just had my hair layered so I get more curl. I have shoulder length, fine, thick hair. I am looking for a mousse that will hold the curls, leaving my hair soft, without a sticky residue. I could try a curl reactivating spray if anyone has any suggestions. TIA

My hair is different than yours-long layers mid back length, straight with some waves and does not like to hold a curl. I recently rediscovered WEN Mousse and LOVE IT😍 Gives my hair nice body for several days. No sticky residue.

But you do need to use it differently & a lot more than the other brands. I use 8 pumps at roots and another 8 pumps for mid shaft to ends. Other brands tell you to only use at roots. I recently reorganized my hair care stash and glad I have several bottles of WEN Mousse that I bought at Q when there was a good event offer.

From what I understand, the WEN Mousse formula is the same for all the scents. My favorite WEN scent is 613 but I'm currently using the Lavendar mousse which is very nice.

Good Luck with your search. It's very much a try & trial process which can be frustrating and costly. Hopefully you find something that you love

I love the DevaCurl Frizz-Fighting Volumizing Foam Lightweight Body Booster

A little hold, no tacky feel, no crunch. It hold up well in humidity.

I do use and love WEN mousse however, it takes some time to figure out how much you need, I swear I've tried very little, a little more and a lot and I still don't have it down. It doesn't help hold my curl but maybe gives a little volume... I mainly use it if I plan to curl my hair. If I use my natural waves/curls I like the DevaCurl Mousse for that.
