SUGGESTIONS FOR LINE FILLER TOPICAL....

I have developed 2 deep corner mouth lines...just below the lower corner of my lips.

I have a terrible habit of pressing my lips together, im unaware im doing it, until I catch myself, try to relax. Im also a compulsive lip biter...all this creases in the lines, making it worse.

I use all the creams, hyaluronics, etc.

Im looking for a primer type cover to possibly fill in the line a bit.

I have NYX marshmallow pore /primer...not helping.

Im probably going to get them professionally filled at some point, but meanwhile if I can blur these lines with something, I can hold off.

Seems they deepened just this past year...I hate them so much...ii have a youthful looking face, no other lines, full lips and cheeks....and this is soooooo aging on me...I look terrible 😩

Any suggestions i can look into??

I have had filler in those areas and they completely disappear. Looks totally naural. Creams, serums etc., do nothing for lines and wrinkles. I would recommend using
a Cosmetic Surgeon. Good luck!

@Dazlin I bet you don't look "terrible" We are our own harshest critic.

I'm starting to see little lines above my top, still full lip. It bothers me but I will have to grin and bear it.

Well maybe I should skip the grin! 😁as I don't have the $ to do anything about that right now.

Do what makes you feel good! We only take this ride but

once !

I forgot to say that someone told me to pat and tap Perlier black rice hyaluronic serum on the lines. Didn't do it yet.

Not a filling primer, @Dazlin, but I've been noticing improvement with my mouth corners after using The Ordinary GF 15% Solution. I've been using it for a few months. It's very inexpensive, maybe $15 or so, Keep in mind, nothing but surgery or a shot will change the position of the underlying muscle. If it's pulling downward, it will pull the skin too and cause a frown. I still have that downward appearance when my face is still (aka RBF) but the depth at the corners has lessened and improved.

@JeanLouiseFinch. I had botox around the chin area last summer...to relax those muscles from pulling down...it did absolutely NOTHING.

I went back after 2 weeks for a follow up and she( injector) was surprised as well.

So we discussed going straight into those lines next time, and a little in the cheeks to lift.

Ive done this over the past years and its helped, but im thinking they're too deep now.

Also with me constantly pressing and twisting my mouth is not helping.

Im trying to be more conscious and looked up solutions to break the habit...all my life.

I probably need to be hypnotized, lol. 😴

I saw that GF .. ill try it.

Right now im using their hyaluronic b5 and also the peptide serum....nothing is helping, but i feel i must use it anyway...??

I'm also sure you don't look terrible but I know how you feel when I see something I don't like I'll hyper-focus on it and it can get ya down for sure.

One thing I've used for many years is a thicker primer After all my makeup is done and especially on the crinkles around my eyes and various areas as need be. Not sure if it would work for your issue but it's great for the eye area.

Mind you I don't use foundation or concealer just a tinted sunblock and light powdering, not sure how this would do on thick coverage makeup.

Also, you can't rub it in or it will pill and smear your makeup, you have to get a tiny dollup on your hand and then pick a little up with your finger and pat it in as a finishing step.

Please never stop making this....it's amazing! I see the bad reviews where people say it balls up and it most certainly will if you apply it wrong. You have to experiment. What I do is use this as a finishing step to my makeup or no makeup (just sunscreen). After finishing my makeup I'll take a small amount and pat, pat it onto my problem areas (wrinkles and big pores) especially crows feet area. It literally makes you look pore-less and wrinkles disappear. It's not like that glue stuff you put on your face where as soon as you smile it cracks, this is like a thick, pillowy, moisturizing, primer. I see this as very similar to a thick primer like M asam Perfect Teint (which I also use or used) but better with better ingredients. If you don't like it .....try it again! Remember Patty, Pat, Pat....don't rub it.

The lines and sagging in the lower face, especially around the mouth area, is the most difficult area to treat. Most topicals won't do much to make the lower face look more 'refreshed'. About the only thing, other than a surgical procedure, is to get a dermal filler put in those lines. Professional laser resurfacing might be another option but w/o actually seeing what you have going on then it's hard to say. Best to get a consult with a derm/ps.

Have you considered Plexaderm™?

I haven't. But I do use fillers. (Voluma™ is EXPENSIVE: $1,000+ and only lasts about 9 months on me).

If you are a side sleeper like I am, it will cause wrinkles in that area.

I messed up my back and was forced to sleep on my back. My head was not allowed to move. I noticed the lines around my mouth, and at my eye were fading. Now I have a pillow that works for my back. Most of the lines are very soft now, or are completely gone.

No I didn't see that Duo pack! I've been robbed...I thought I did good when I got them for $23.40 each (I stocked up on 2 of those). I'm always afraid things I love will be discontinued.

Yes, it reminds me of MAsam Perfect teint, which I've used for many years. But I like this one's texture better...It seems more cushiony, moisturizing and blurring.

I see the reviews are iffy on this, I think some people expect miracles and maybe use too much....not sure but I love it for my purposes and the way I use it. I've used this and the MAsam before that most everyday for many many years and notice when I don't.

Yes, not sure if it'll work for your purposes but I love it for big pores and eye crinkles....it really makes a huge difference for me anyway.

If you get it make sure you get the Duo pack that @sueinsf wrote about....way cheaper.

BTW, I use Perfect Teint for the eye crinklies in the inner corner and also the one deep horizontal wrinkle on my forehead. It keeps my under-eye brightener from settling into the eye crinkles.

Perfect Teint has a lot of silicone in it...first five ingredients are all silicones. Needs an oil-based cleanser to remove it properly.

@SilleeMee As always, I agree with your post about fillers being the best option.

I've been hearing horror stories about dentists, derm techs, etc. doing injections and are not experienced in the deep muscles of the face and also be careful of illegal and false fillers. If the price seems like a bargain, run the other way.

@Dazlin I have issues with the area around my mouth also and the marionette lines. With the help of the posters on this forum, I now use a red light mask and a Nira Pro. These have helped.

I've used some kind of microcurrent machine since Connie Stevens sold the things on HSN. My recent Nuface stopped working. It wasn't that old. I bought the small one for cost reasons.

I replaced it with the Foreo Bear 2 Go. This is the small travel version of their Bear. Cost reasons again.

I love this little thing. It doesn't pulse like all the others do. Nor does it beep. If I were a first timer I'd have to follow the app (which I may end up doing anyway.) The microcurrent runs continually. I use any gel with these devices to allow the current to flow.

I also use (and I hate to admit this) a facial flex I bought from QVC decades ago.
