No dupe for a Dyson. Although Shark makes one but it's not the same as Dyson as far as quality. It is less money.

I'm with @rms1954, I think she's asking if there is a dupe for the Dyson. And, no, not that I'm aware of, with all the features and quality.

@Chiefsuperfan Calista has (had) a tool last February I wanna say that was a dupe of the Dyson air wrap. I purchased and returned finding it not to work well with my hair. It operated the same way as the Dyson only you had to use two different heads/wands for the direction, I.e. right or left. It too had the 'cool shot' but I found it not to hold a curl AT ALL.

This could just be me with my fine wavy hair but I had no success. I'm sorry I do not have the name of the tool.

Calista is the 'knock-off queen", always copying her version of the popular hit product of the moment. I do not find her credible as a vendor.

@fitfuninformed the hair clips she sells were on QVC years ago. Long before she presented her products.

as I understand it. Dyson combines some patented technology's that can't be duplicated as of now. The velocity of the air, plus these elements that fast dry while protecting hair. Also, the ergonomic design with components to keep it compact, easier to hold, yet lighter than it could be are patented as well. All that and the components cost a bit more , and I am sure we pay for the Dyson name, lol. Sort of like certain prescription drugs that have no generic. They are higher until patents expire, and someone comes in and duplicates it for less. I think they are quite high when I think of hair dryers for sure! Hair dressers swear by them,as they outlast their old hairdryers by years , saving money in long run. Just my take

ETA. Someday someone will come along and invent a dryer that takes up steps above the Dyson. No one knows what that could be right now. But someday! Then Dyson will come down and the new tangled dryer will rule. But betcha it will be Dyson who invents it, lol!
