What is the best foundation that doesn't settle into wrinkles

@Chiefsuperfan We need to know about your skin & what sort of coverage that you are looking for.

I have combo skin that breaks out from everything.

My favorite foundation is Fenty Pro Filt'r Soft Matte Powder Foundation (Which I am afraid has been discontinued, but if you can find your color grab one.). It goes on beautifully & wears well all day on my weird skin. I have 4 backups & 2 opened.

Mac Studio Fix Finish Liquid Foundation is my favorite liquid. I can adjust the coverage & it looks great on.

Chantecaille Future Skin is nice if you don't want coverage. It is very light & way too expensive. I got it because I always saw raves about it. It is okay on a good skin day if I just want to even things out & not look "made up".

Haus Labs By Lady Gaga Triclone Skin Tech Medium Coverage Foundation With Fermented Arnica-Wins for longest name. It is a really nice foundation. Pretty coverage, wears well all day.

The only time I get foundation sliding into line is if I try to apply too much for coverage or if I use anything claiming to leave me "glowy or dewey" with my foundation.

Glowy or dewey will make makeup slide.

I've been using IT CC Cream (the full coverage SPF 50) for a few years - I love it. I use the foundation brush. I don't think it settles in my lines/wrinkles.

Medium coverage I guess. I'm 58 and have sagging and wrinkles. Don't wear foundation because what I've tried settles into lines and wrinkles. I guess QVC stopped selling IT

I've not found a foundation sold on QVC that isn't too yellow for me.

This is one of those questions- ask 50 people, get 50 different answers. I personally use a couple different foundations based on the time of year and what kind of look I’m going for. Best advice- experiment with different shades and coverage until you find the one. A lot of times- makeup counters will give out samples of their products.

My advice--go to a good make up counter and have the ladies or guys, help you find the right shade and that addresses the concern you have. I did that a few years ago---was very helpful and fun. I am a warm light, have a few lines and am 71. I don't use full coverage foundation but use a bb or cc cream--those are lighter coverag. I don't have alot to hide for a full foundation. I usually put on a tinted primer than if I need it, the bb/cc cream over top. I'd go to a Nordstrom, or Ulta or Sephora for a consult. It is free too.

I agree with those that suggested to go to a store that will hep you choose. The only problem is that everyone will tell you their foundation will not into your wrinkles. Get samples so you can try yourself. If you like the foundation that you currently use but it settles into your wrinkles try a primer under it. That might be all you need.

@Chiefsuperfan Yes, I have and it is really nice, but it is yellow based, which for me works. It is a nice foudnation, and you need such a small amount-great coverage without feeling cakey. I received a nice sized sample in one my Beauty Boxes, so I was able to try it for about two weeks before purchasing.

I wish QVC would have them on more often.....

Thanks all. I will head to Sephora or Macy's and ask for samples. QVC just keeps showing the same brands in stead showing others on qvc.com

I think that if you have wrinkles, you'll always look better is something lighter....like a BB cream or light powder foundation if you prefer a powder. I like Bare Minerals Complexion Rescue moisturizer or IT Nude Glow...or Laura Mercier tinted moisturizer.

@Chiefsuperfan If you go to Sephora or Ulta they will be able to help you across a lot of different brands.

If you go to Macy's or Nordstrom you will be more likely to be directed to a single brand, which isn't necessarily bad, but I would do some research on brands & read some reviews.

There are a lot of great foundations available. It's just trial & error to see what works for you.

But just like lipstick, the more matte the foundation, the less likely it is to move into lines.

So a matte, satin or natural finish is going to be better for you than one that is glowy, dewey or very hydrating. Unless you have dry skin.

@monicakm If it's depressing, don't look in a 15X mirror!

I don't use any foundation, only primer and tinted moisturizer. I don't notice wrinkles, but have fine lines which don't bother me much. It happens, and as long as I use products for hydration and to balance skin tone I'm fine.

@monicakm This is why we definitely need more information before recommending products!

And it makes a difference how we each use skincare or apply our foundations.

"What is a good foundation?" seems like a simple question but it really isn't.

And those magnifying mirrors are so horrible!!

@Chiefsuperfan I love Yensa! Now that I have found my perfect shade. Goes on well. Doesn't get cakey, oily, etc. Some days I use a primer most days I don't. Nice brushes.

@Chiefsuperfan - How do you apply your foundation? Are you using fingers or a brush? Have you ever tried a damp sponge? It may make a difference for you.

This is "Real Techniques" from Walmart and many other places.
