It seems like many on this forum have more of the inside track on Isomers Labs, their history, the company etc. Does anyone know about Manuela's educational training? Is she actually a cosmetic chemist with a degree or is she the face of the brand? (Not what she used to say on the other network. )Please don't shoot the messenger as this is a fair question. It seems like HSN has restricted what she can say. If she is she is, if she isn't she isn't. Maybe it's her husband who is the chemist or her son?

Manuela is a cosmetic chemist and has also taught college classes in how to formulate skin care.

I did that first and it puzzled me beause it wasn't there (on Isomers.Ca.) Please correct me if I am wrong. It says Manuela met her husband who was a Science major. Her linkedin profile shows a BA in Arts and Science which isn't a sciene degree. It doesn't "matter." She was restricted about what she could say on HSN and thus my curiosity. She can own the company and not have a science degree. As I said, don't shoot the messenger I was simply asking a question.

Manuela has led her customers to believe for decades that she is a Cosmetic Chemist who works in the Lab with a white coat coming up with the formulas. The language on air and description of her background on Linkedin, and doesn't state she has a degree in a science related field. None of that matters if she learned in the lab with hands on experience. I do believe the co-founder Darius does have more of the science background. What she is allowed to say lately has changed. I am not dissing her or the company. (One of her sons was on the Network with a lab coat stating he is a Scientist. Unless Linkedin has not been updated, which could be the case, that doesn't show he has degree in science either.)

There are also articles about Manuela online that talk about her sucess in business as a CEO none of which mention a degree in science or chemistry. Again, not a diss. Was I a bit surprised after all of this time, yes.

@acatgirl Manuela Marcheggiani started their education journey in 1978 at Bloor Collegiate Institute, where they completed their secondary education. Manuela then proceeded to the University of Toronto from 1982 to 1987, earning a Bachelor of Arts degree in Arts & Science. In 1992, Manuela attended the Polani Institute, known previously as BHI, and completed a program in Skincare Specialist. Later, in 1995, they enrolled in the SCC Society of Cosmetic Chemists for further education in the field of Aesthetician/Esthetician and Skin Care Specialist.

I wish she would tell us what she's done to her face like Dr. Denese told us. Her eyes are much smaller. Maybe she's had fillers and her cheeks puffed up and thus her eyes look smaller. She's done something and no product can do that. To me she looks like a different person. Add to that she's blonde now.

HSN has strict legal rules about wording of product claims. I would guess it has something about their legal team that she's not able to say certain words.

I had noticed when she presented the Copper P on HSN it was all about it being good skincare for the facial wrinkles and lines, etc. When she was on SHQ she always promoted it as a great healer for cuts, scrapes, burns, etc. guess HSN nixed that.

As far as I can tell Pollock has a PhD in business management.

You took the words out of my mouth. I remember when Dr. Denese came back on the air after she had a face lift and her eyes done and she said so live on the air. She didn't have to do that. It was obvious and she decided to share. People still need to take care of their skin after they do work. Many apreciated that. She is also a Harvard and Cornell trained MD and I think Neuroscientist. I don't think Manuela has had any surgery. She does look different and is under no obligation to share anything; if she did share it might help people who think skin care can do all of that. Whether she is or is not a real chemist, obviously didn't stop me from decades of using her products. The things she is allowed to say on HSN are quite different than ShopHQ. Maybe that is a good thing. How can it be bad?

Exactly. Here college degree is a Bachelor of Arts in the Arts and Sciences. That is not a degree in Chemistry. Please keep in mind that those of us who have used Isomers for decades have been listening to a different explanation of her credentials all these years. Does it matter; I guess not. Thank you for sharing. Manuela doesn't claim to be a Chemist on Linkedin. It was maninly all the years on ShopHQ.
