Right now I'm using WEN but really want to just go back to plain Shampoo/Cond. since my results are not dramatic after almost 2 full years of use, I have long hair and this gets expensive and I swear I have way less hair now than when I started and I use it all - WEN, Remoist, Oils, styling cream...yadddaa

SO - back to my question, I need volume and maybe something for "thinner or fine" hair but I still need moisture since I do blow dry and curl my hair.

Would love to hear your favs Thanks in advance for your time posting!

I love Lea Journo and Living Proof. See if you can get the travel sizes to try first. That's what I did. Bamboo also makes a great volumizing set. I quit using WEN a few months ago, and I will NEVER go back to it. Good luck!

I have fine color treated hair, and I use Wen Lavendar and the seasonals. I alternate between the Wen and regular shampoo, more cost effective and I get better results.

On the days I use Regular Shampoo I use any of the following:

Organix with Biotin in the purple bottle

Pantene, I think another viewer mentioned this as well and

Nioxin for color treated hair,

sometimes I use the Suave Rosemary Mint which is also nice, but my favorites are the Organix and the Wen Lavendar

Thank you!!

wait!!! avalon Biotin is what I was using before I started WEN!!! YOU just jogged my memory, I loved that stuff and I told everyone on the boards about it, I think I will just go back to that. I admit the conditioner did not detangle enough but if I use a separate leave in it should be okay.

My latest loves are Living Proof and Alterna. I have fine, thin (which continues to thin with age), color-treated hair. I get great results with Alterna's volumizing shampoo and conditioner. Then I use about 5 pumps of the Bamboo volumizing 12-hour sustainable spray on the roots and 4 pumps of the Caviar CC cream from roots to ends. My hair looks thicker, smoother, shinier and has more volume with less frizz. I'm not a fan of the scent in the volumizing line but the scent of the CC cream helps to diminish it and I love the results. I also love Living Proof thickening shampoo and conditioner. When I use LP I also use a few pumps of their Great Hair Day or Prime Extender creams. I love both. Again my hair looks thicker, smoother, shinier, has more volume and less frizz. I'm not a fan of the other LP thickening products (thickening cream and mousse). It's too hard to figure out the right amount to use and often makes my hair look worse. The GHD and PE are really great on fine thin hair and don't weigh it down or make it feel sticky at all.

Sandgirl, I have color treated fine hair but lots of it. I was having issues as far as breakage & more than usual hair fallout. I cannot use Wen because of the menthol which caused more fallout for me. I am not putting it down because many women use it with success.

I can highly recommend Acure Argan Stem Cell + Argan oil Shampoo & Conditioner, I saw results after the first shampoo! If your looking for moisture this is awesome. It doesn't weigh down my hair at all, makes it silky & smells like almonds. You can put in a root lifting product on damp roots to give you volumne. I haven't been putting a root lifter in my long hair lately but when I do I use Redken Guts Ten on damp hair which gives excellent volumne.

I also have been messaging my scalp with Almond oil or Virgin coconut oil once a wk. before shampooing & have cut back on blowdrying when possible.

Getting back to Acure, I ordered it at Vitacost.com but Whole Foods carries it. In fact its becoming so popular there, they are ordering more & more of their products, including the face creams KATCAT1 suggested. Whatever you choose, Good Luck in your search!

I also have long, fine hair, & its SO hard to find the right products for my hair type!

Recently, I tried a brand of conditioner called "Agave" sold at Sephora.....OMG! Its exactly what I've been searching for. It gives moisture balance, shine, volume, & NEVER builds up in my hair. I've tried the matching brand shampoo, & my hair doesn't respond as well to that. I just continue to use the same shampoo I've used for years with it. I just ordered 2 more bottles....don't want to ever run out of this!

I also love ReMoist, but ONLY in the Pomegranite. Its the only flavor that works on my fine hair. I also found that I get the very best results leaving it on overnight (no comparison!)

I tried the AGAVE hair oil, love that

Next tried the AGAVE shampoo & conditioner, my hair did not like the shampoo either, but I love the conditioner & plan to re-buy

what shampoo do you use, I am still on the hunt for a winner, I just use up bottles I have

Hi AnnMarie

I use Phytocitrus shampoo....have for years. I have color-treated hair that gets weighed down & coated SO easily. This is the only shampoo that cleans my hair & gets it ready for the conditioner. I doubt this shampoo is for everyone- you definitely need to follow with a conditioner (I always do, always have). But even though I've tried a million other shampoos, I always return to this.

I finally discovered that between the Phytocitrus, Agave cond. & Pom ReMoist as an overnight, this is my perfect combo. I recently found out how much my fine hair hates protein. I used a deep protein cond. a few times, & my hair started to break off. Never again!

The Agave hair oil is insane!!! My hair is baby soft and never greasy. Plus, it smells amazing! I mix it with Perfect Hair Day from Living Proof on wet hair and she a little to polish after blow drying.
