BareMinerals Complexion Rescue Arrived

And what a mess it is! Color is fine but OMG I put it on my face, skin care done hours ago, no primer - and what a mess. It was awful. Pilled all over, patchy, showed every pore, it was horrendous. Immediately took it off.

Will try it one more time tomorrow with either my fingers or a sponge but if I get the same result, it's going back. What a mess and a disappointment.

I've been using this for years and have never had it pill or anything else. I wonder if yours had frozen at some point and that changed the texture. Hope it works better tomorrow

So sorry to hear, I avoid it since its sunscreen is only titanium dioxide and I prefer zinc oxide or a combo of the 2. I have very good luck with Andalou Color and Correct CC Cream with SPF 30 in the rose scent

@JudyL - I'm so sorry! I wonder if the formula has changed. I use this as my light everyday foundation, when I'm not wearing my regular one. I didn't get the TSV because I have my backup in Vanilla ready to use soon. I wear Birch during fall and winter.

I usually use a brush, but sometimes use my fingers. I've never used a sponge before with this.

I'm anxious to hear if you have better luck!

ETA: I just thought of something else. You can either try it in store or buy a small travel size. Then you'll know if it's a problem with that particular tube.

Thank you all for suggestions. I was so surprised that it was so bad. I live in CA and it hasn't been hot here nor has it been cold so don't think thats an issue - of course, don't know where it was shipped from. I'm used to using IT CC Glow and that I apply with fingers or a sponge and it's fine. Will see what happens tomorrow.

@JudyL I was so sorry to read that it didn't work for you. Hopefully, the sponge will work. I have never had it pill and I change up my skincare and primer all the time, I do use a sponge. So sorry it didn't work for you!

Did you make sure you shook it well? Anything with sunsceeen needs to be shook. I had this in past and liked it but their shadea are so weird and I could never find a good match. The one I had worked but it was just a little to light

So sorry, @JudyL. What a bummer. I posted in the TSV thread about my experience, which was similar to yours - patchiness and exaggerated pores. After reading all the glowing testimonials, I second guessed myself and wondered if my recall failed and I was thinking of something else, so I deleted my comment. I even almost ordered it, but didn't.

@ccassaday - I didn't shake it. Did look on the tube and it didn't say to shake it so didn't. Will try that tomorrow. Thanks for bringing it up as I wouldn't have thought of it.

Sorry to here JudyL. I've been a bareMinerals Complexion Rescue user for over 10 years. The box does have an 888 795 4747 number if you have questions. I've not experienced pilling and I have quite a few new, unopened boxes. Of course QVC would take it back. I never use the brush. Have found it leaves streaks on my face.

BTW: my Summer Bisque order is still in process!! Almost 7days sitting around in process. QVC needs to get better s&h. Just because it's free doesn't mean you can give customers shoddy service.

@ahoymate - I had a Smileactives order sitting in "preparing your order" since April 26th. Was told that it was coming from the Ontario warehouse and they had a computer issue and were backlogged but I was assured that it is now fixed and they are working diligently to get orders out. So, maybe yours will be coming soon.

I didn't shake it either!

I had rec'd samples from direct orders and was wanting to try it.

Agree, the brush gives me streaks! It is too loose. Needs to be denser.

No big, I have plenty of brushes.

@ccassaday Not everything needs to be shaken. I use Dr. Denese Tinted Defense Day Cream with SPF, and never shake it. It's thick, so shaking it wouldn't mix it better anyway.

Update: Tried it again today. Half side of my face I applied with my fingers, the other half with a sponge. Both sides were awful - streaky, pilled so much, and just looked awful. Back it goes. Glad it works for some of you but for me, this was not good.
