Rodan & Fields at Ulta?

I got a Text from Ulta that they now had all the items from the 21 Days of Beauty on sale at 50% off. I had just discovered I was running out of Innersense leave-in conditioner, and even though I didn't remember seeing Innersense in the sale, I looked through all the offerings just in case. No, it wasn't on sale, but as I was browsing, I was surprised to see a Rodan & Fields product for sale. Still too pricey for my pocketbook, but R&F is sold by their own Consultants much like Avon and Mary Kay. I have a friend who is one. I wonder how that's going to affect them.

Thanks! I use their Redefine and Reverse systems, I wonder what Ulta is charging for them, going to check them out!

Interesting. I use their products, too, @We rescue cats . It looks like their items are the same amount at Ulta as they are on their site when have a subscription. But they don't have the kits where there is the discount.

The one item I saw was in their 50% off sale, so I guess it pays to watch for sales.

@Icegoddess , yes, quite the savings on that but it looked like you had to be in a certain tier to get that price. I would have to start shopping at Ulta a whole lot more. I only buy the R and F serums when there is a sale but they are never that big of a sale.

They changed around Sept 24. They were having financial difficulties probably due to the lawsuit about the lash serum. Some of the consultants were also hit or miss. My first one was perfect,on time everytime. She had a baby and decided to stop and the next one was awful.

@tiny 2 That's interesting. I looked up the lawsuit but only read a quick snippet just to see what it was. Did they make untrue claims about using the prostaglandin in the serum? All those things are known side effects of prostaglandins whether in Latisse or in an OTC product.

I used RapidLash for quite awhile until they stopped using that ingredient, and Careprost after that which is generic Latisse, so the possibility of those side effects are the same. I tried the La Vie everyone liked and a few others, but they did not work for me. I'm returning to RapidLash since they now have that ingredient back in it again. It was better for me than Careprost or GrandeLash (which uses a different prostaglandin, I think) .

They failed to disclose information and any side effects. They had to pay 38 million. I never used the lash product so no $175.00 for me.
