Need serum help......

I have been using Josie Maran's Milk for years and just heard it will no longer be produced. I have a sample of Beekman 1802 Milk Serum that I tried and it seems to make my skin tight after I use it. Is that normal? Not sure I like it so would be open to any and all suggestions. Normal skin type.......not expecting to look 20 years younger.........I guess average senior skin that I try to take care with.

@deeW Hi. I've never used Josie's milk, so not sure what it did or what type of serum. There are ones wit Vit.Cnfor brightness, hyaluronic for moisture, etc.

@deeW - there are many kinds of serums out there with different actives and textures. What do you want it to do - firm, brighten, moisturize?

I've been using CeraVe hydrating hyalauronic acid facial serum for several months and already noticed my skin is definitely more hydrated and just looks better!! It's not expensive either!!

This chart might help you decide what kind of serum to get. There are basically six types of serums and each one will address the issues listed here. This is a generic chart, no brands mentioned so you'll need to do your own search for one that suits your needs.

Sorry to be so late getting back.......had to leave town for a few days for a family thing. I appreciate all the information. Unfortunately the chart that was mentioned is no longer there.........apparently QVC took it away? After using the serum I was questioning a few more days I've decided that even itf it's not normal, the issue of it tightening like a harsh soap is not for me so I will continue on my journey.
