Cosmetic Change

I recently did a complete change

Really, had to

Developed a double eye infection and as anyone knows with this, it requires a throw out

of whatever you have been using

I keep it simple and so it wasn't a big deal to start again

I write this to encourage anyone wanting to change products or

the complete face that it's easier than thought

and cost effective lol

I chose drugstore and I went with PHYSICIANS FORMULA

The newest in foundations is the silk liquid foundation which I HIGHLY recommend

A vast difference from a lot of liquid or cream brands BUT it provides a thin silk coverage that looks REAL. No residue.

Bottom line, 7 products I bought for my makeup routine

Everything was a total of 93.00 dollars and free shipping

Purchased from Amazon

Had my items in 12 hours ( how they do that still blows me away lol

Ladies, you can change in 2025

You don't have to buy these items are high prices

The quality is pleasing.

Sorry about the eye infection. I'm glad you found products you like.

I used mostly drugstore cosmetics for years, but I started using more expensive cosmetic brands in the 90s. I got pulled in by the QVC demos and the hype when Sephora opened a store in my city. I liked some of the products, but they were quite expensive. I went back to drugstore products after a while. I use a variety of brands. There are so many makeup choices now! 👍

@katie1859 I'm often amazed at the bizarre botanicals & other non-effective & non-essential ingredients that pricey cosmetic & facial care companies add to make their products sound special, when actually they do nothing more than create a marketing gimmick.

I wouldn't be surprised if they'll soon be adding eye of newt or powdered bat wings and bellowing how wonderful they are for skin. Lol

@katie1859 I don't buy or wear much makeup but what I have is mostly from Physicians Formula. Like that brand very much!

I absolutely agree. My latest finds are eos super lip balm (24h moisture) and many elf products : Power Grip primer, and all of the Holy Hydration moisturizers and SFF.

My go to foundations are Neutrogena healthy skin anti-aging

perfector( tinted with spf) and their Hydro Boost hydrating tint.
The thing I learned about them is that the Ivory to Fair runs yellow and that number 20, natural Ivory is actually lighter and more neutral.

I am using Trader Joe's body butter.

Also I Dew Care Tap Secret mattifying dry shampoo powder. Covers gray, fills in thin areas and adds volume. Comes in white or colors. (Alz)..fabulous!!

I stick to the high end products anymore, other than ELF tubing mascara. I am able to take home foundation samples and I can actually see the shades on other items. 🤷‍♀️

A lot of drugstore products are not inexpensive anymore.

I have to disagree that pricing on drug store cosmetics is expensive
If compared to let’s say Estée Lauder Physicians Formula was considering less.
57.00 to 16.99 which was my cost
My daughter buys the Estée Lauder but I like the texture of what I bought in PF more.
I like cost cutting and that’s my underlined action now as a consumer.

That's okay but I see some drugstore foundations that are basically $20 which is not exactly cheap, but I get your point. I like getting samples before buying. @katie1859

Believe me I am cost-cutting toobut mostly by using up everything I have:/

@katie1859. Never had Stye in all my life but last fall I got one in both eyes., My grandson was getting married early Nov so I was panicked. I just had bought high end mascara and shadow from Estée Lauder. Threw it out snd back and forth to the eye dr at least 3 times. Didn’t wear any eye makeup for weeks bc I was determined I would wear it for his wedding and I did but the drugstore brand/all L’Oréal. Since then haven’t gone back to high price bc you never know .Also very viligant taking off makeup at night esp mascara. My eye dr told me that is the worst thing to do not cleaning eyelids before bed.

@katie1859 Sorry about your eye infections and get it about purchasing new makeup.

After both cataract surgeries, I purchased new shadows, concealers, mascara, etc. My liners get sharpened to a fresh area, so they were OK.

@Beacon girl I had a similar experience with my eyes and I blame it on the mascara. Haven't worn it since! And when I wash my face at night I pay special attention to my eyelids.

Mascara is the one product I can't do without. My eyes would disappear without mascara.

Ever since had style both eyes I get 2 mascara -one for each eye. Maybelline is adorable for that and also Essence.
