Now that Josie won't be offering the jumbo size body butter has anyone found a good alternative? Something very similar to the consistency and ingredients?

If you have a Trader Joe's nearby try Trader Joe's Ultra Rich Body Butter. It runs around $5-$6 i think and is 8oz.

Super rich and lightly scented with vanilla.I got it as a gift. Im still working on a mega size of Josie Maran's and will then use this.

Depending on the time of year Trader Joe's may have other Body Butters available, like in the summer they have had Trader Joe's Brazil Nut Body Butter.

For the price its worth trying.

Also when I worked for Walgreens 30 years ago ( lol) the Walgreens brand of Vitamin E body cream was amazing but i dont think they sell that big jar anymore. I worked in the cosmetic dept and made comission on it but it really was superior and a oh so inexpensive product. Nearly everytime i sampled it on someone they bought it and would thank me later if they were a regular. Plastic jar nothing fancy.

Banana Boat's After Sun lotion was very rich and very good also.but scent was a bit more forward in sun category..

@Liabeth Have you tried Ebay? I researched and there are vendors selling new on the site. Prices are reasonable.

@Liabeth Beekmans butter is a waste of money, philosophy's products have pleasant smells but don't provide much moisture. Josie has her own site, no jumbo sizes & usually higher prices than QVC. I'm hesitant about ordering from third parties (eBay) because I don't know how the products are stored

@nycalady Here is the description. I buy products from Ebay and never had a problem.

New: A brand-new, unused, unopened, undamaged item in its original packaging (where packaging is applicable). Packaging should be the same as what is found in a retail store, unless the item is handmade or was packaged by the manufacturer in non-retail packaging, such as an unprinted box or plastic bag.

All things considered, we really don't know how anyone's products are stored.

You can take the good quality products in th mid-range pricing which sell at Macys, Amazon, QVC, Ulta, Sephora,Target, Sallys Beauty Supply .... you get the idea.

Someone's warehouse has a long power outage and everything in the entire location is thermally-compromised, but looks totally normal .... how do we ever know?

This could happen to any retailer.

@Liabeth, I have ordered several jars of Josie Body Butter from Ebay past few years and I've never had a problem with the product. I always buy the "brand new sealed" jars.

@Liabeth I'm not a Wen cleansing hair conditioner user (tried it years ago and had hair loss; I have many shampoos now I prefer much more)...that said, I do like others of his products.

I recently bought a set of Winter Vanilla Mint, one of my favorites of his fragrances...body butter, with a hair mousse. I think too expensive, but it was marked down, at least, so I treated myself, as I'd used up other body butters I'd had (Philosophy, Origins.)

I've used and loved Josie's body butters...and I would say Chaz's are most like hers. I love it; it feels & moisturizes much like Josie's. Very creamy, goes on and absorbs well, leaving you feel silky smooth.

You may want to check out L' bri.... they have a heavenly body butter, in various scents, or unscented. I love each of them, none in particular... they each are very enriching on the skin!!

No, I haven't found any like Josie's. Her's is the best. I can use her original unscented body butter on my face.

Some one mentioned Trader Joe's. It's nice but I can't use it on my face as I do with JM. TJ does have some nice health and beauty items though.

I will continue buying from her site, even if it's a much smaller size. It's worth the price for me.

I'm pizzed that JM is not what it was here!

I’m hoping Josie product will resurface on the Q or maybe HSN. Last week I did get one of my auto ships. What I will really miss is the giant tubs of scrubs. I bought the TreeHut and it was just ok.

Like you @KBEANS, I will continue to buy from her site too. I'm using the mega-size jar of "Celebration" right now. I love her body butter and her milk.

I received a gift of Ultra Hydration Body Creme from Bath & Body Works. I didn't think I'd like it as much as I do. @Liabeth - you might want to check that out. They have really good sales and rewards!

The last body butter I tried just didn't absorb well and left a greasy feel. Don't remember the brand.

Anyone know of a body butter that absorbs quickly?

@Tinkrbl44Not a body butter, but might as well be it's so thick, Gold Bond Radiance Renewal lotion (in the gold bottle). It's quite thick. Even though I usually use other BB's on most days, I always use the Gold Bond on Sunday when I have a shortened schedule and put on panty hose fairly soon after my shower.

Personally, I didn't care for the JM whipped Argan Oil Body Butter I tried a few years ago. I didn't find it particularly moisturizing at all, so I can't say anything I recommend compares to it. But, I am currently using the Trader Joe's Brazil Nut BB. I do like it, but I'm liking the Perlier Pomegranate Body Butter better. I'm on AD for it and am just tryig to use up the TJ's one. Another one I liked about as well as the TJ's BB Is the Nutris BB that you can get at Costco in a 2 pk.

I usually use Amlactin on my arms for it's exfoliation properties.

I like Tweak'd All Purpose Rescue Cream. My favorites are the Pure Unscented and Tribal Chocolate but there are other scents too. Worth checking out!

Last summer I discovered Old Whaling Co. body butters, and love them! They are made in Charleston, SC--woman-owned small business.

There are a number of fragrances...my favorites so far are Sea Salt & Seaweed (very beachy), Sea la Vie (mild & beachy), and French Lavender (very rich lavender scent).

Jars are 8 oz. for $16. Absorbs quickly and leaves my skin feeling soft and moisturized. They have a rewards program.

They sell bath bombs, shower steamers & candles as well.

Customer service is stellar. Website is Old Whaling Company dot com.

One caveat--the jars do NOT have a seal, I know that's important to some.
