Anyone thinking of going "short"?

I have had a chin length bob for years...sometimes angled...sometimes straight.

I like the short look on Michelle Williams and Jennifer Lawrence.

My stylist has been trying to get me to go shorter for months.

Is anyone else thinking of getting a new short 'do for 2014?

Aaaargh, no I've spent the last six months growing it long enough to put up in a clip, and it's only about a half inch too short now. I daren't even get a trim and lose that half inch.

I went short(ish) a couple of years ago, everyone but me loved it. It just wasn't me though.

My hair has been short now for at least five years. I have no plans of letting it grow. I loved doing it up in a French twist and all, but decided back then that it was just a bit too much work for the results.

I thought that cutting it short would give that same "off the face" look.

I like the longer top pieces and the long bangs too.

Heck no. BTDT and the grow out is a nightmare IMO. I'm not giving up my long hair for the latest fad.

It's a matter of personal preference, but I absolutely love having short hair. It's cut in a contemporary style which suits my lifestyle, appearance and is so easy to maintain.

When I went shorter, I got a lot of compliments at work.

Now I work from home (starting a new business next month) and thought this might be a great time to try it out.

I have had a bob for so many years (or a variation) that it is getting stale.

This may sound counter-intuitive, but short hair is way too much work for me. I have wavy-curly hair that's flat at the crown and gets curlier as it grows. Short cuts always look crazy on me unless I spend a lot of time blowdrying, taming the ends,and fixing them in place as some flip up and others flip down. When it's long, I just add some product, air dry, and go. Sometimes parts of my bangs get weird and try to flip out (literally, not figuratively) and I have to spray them in place, but that's about all I need to do.

Six weeks ago I went from hair down to the middle of my back to a pixie....glad I did it's fun, cute and I can finger comb it and go, but I do this a lot, I'll let it grow and then go very short. If you're not sure try on a short wig in the style that you want or just go for it because it will grow back. Have fun with it

i went pixie short 8 yrs ago and never looked back! I love it short, it always looks pulled together, I have more time to play with makeup and accessories and I get more compliments with it short than I ever did long.The only drawback is I am at the salon every 4 weeks for a trim, but it is soooo worth it for me

How are you Janie? How's the family? How were your holidays. Went back for a trim today because my hair grows so fast any way went a little shorter so I don't have to go back in 4 wk just six. If I'm not messing with make-up, hair or any of that stuff I wouldn't be happy. Miss you guys on the other thread

No. If I cut my hair into a chin length bob that would be short to me. I can't fathom the pixie cut. It's just too short for me. Since your hair is already shorter it may not be that dramatic for you. I could never commit to monthly haircuts. That is one of the perks of long hair.
