I have a friend that is very wrinkled on her face and would like to buy some cream for her cannot spend a fortune and would probably like to use at night. What brand would you recommend? She told me saw a person she had not seen in a long time and they told her she was very wrinkled made me feel bad for her. Thank-you for your help.

There's a new line of skin care at Amazon called "Cocokind" at Amazon and Ulta.
I am only starting to try it, but all products are reasonable and appear to be for sensitive skin.

One of our posters here on the Q suggested this line.

No cream will get rid of wrinkles. Just apply a good moisturizer and wear sunscreen to help prevent more wrinkles from forming. The sun causes more wrinkles than anything else on earth.

Actually, the way I read it, she is looking to give the person a cream. The friend only told her what the other person said. But, the post does not say she asked for a recommendation, only that the OP is asking for a recommendation for something to give her.

@santorini That is not how I read the post. I read that the lady was just telling the poster the story and the poster decided to buy her friend cream.....Not really important but the post was not clear

Maybe a gift card to a beauty store, drugstore, discount store, etc. where she could buy her own skin care would be better? I don't know if your friend has any issues, but certain ingredients irritate my skin, and scents bother my asthma. I wouldn't want to gift something that the person can't use.

It's probably best to let your wrinkled friend decide for herself, if she wants to do anything about them. Since she's "very wrinkled" (your words, @jezzie), she likely doesn't care about a skincare routine or she'd already be using something. Better leave well enough alone.

I rememger what my grandmothers and great aunts looked like, so it's more heridity than anything else.

(And I think mine must go back to the Middle Ages.) "Somebody" must have had really wild hair...

I have never tried a PTR product that took away any wrinkles, if you find one let me know. You may be thinking of his Unwrinkle

There is no cream that will remove wrinkles.

This is the answer I wrote a few weeks ago to a similar question about skin care. I would recommend giving your friend a facial spa treatment gift, if you can afford it. That way the experts can discuss her skin care needs. Most women like being pampered with spa treatments.

Yes, it was rude for someone else to tell her she was 'wrinkled," but judging from the many mean posts I read on this forum, many women feel quite comfortable criticizing other women and pointing out their shortcomings.

Too bad we can't all be "practically perfect in every way" like Mary Poppins (Oh, wait, she is just a fantasy character.).

Why does skin "age?"

It is NOT just because of biological years.

Genetics, sun exposure, air pollution, facial expressions, smoking, hormones (pregnancy, stress?), cold/heat (air dryness), etc., and even sleeping position (or lack of sleep) can ALL impact your skin.

So, if you are not kind to your skin, using all of these products could have a very positive impact. It is like treating yourself to a spa day! Your skin is pampered for a while, and taken care of in the best possible way.

Of course, one should also examine all the factors that are having a negative impact and try to reduce them as well.

I much prefer natural treatments rather than chemical, but my skin has always been pretty hardy. I do know many women who have very delicate skin and are much more prone to fine wrinkles and skin problems.

I had a friend --who has lived in AZ for the last 20 years or so----she is 4 years younger than me and NEVER did anything but wash her face----saw her last in 2016 and loaded her up with some of the small sample things of skincare I had----she never even wore spf!!!!! In freaking AZ for crying out loud---Her skin looked horrible --deep lines and leathery skin with dry patches--she looked 15 years older than I was. Not sure if she is doing anything --haven't seen her in person since 2016

No SANE person sunbathes in AZ (except for tourists). At 115+ degrees, and single digit humidity, you'd have heat stroke in less than a half hour.

I think that wrinkles are a part of life and I think women with wrinkles are beautiful. Wrinkles are a totally natural part of aging and aging is truly a privelege. @jezzie You seem like a very caring gal pal for your friend to have. I'm sure your gal pal is beautiful exactly the way she is. Take her out to lunch instead of buying a wrinkle cream, empower her, and tell her to get rid of that catty and truly uncouth person who insulted her appearance.

@sportyshorty, yes wrinkles are a part of aging. But as for me and practically everyone in the western hemisphere would disagree that they are beautiful. That’s why we women especially on this forum are always looking for something to address our beauty needs and that includes our face. Not to mention the billions made with cosmetic companies. My brand Shiseido is eliminating their makeup except for foundation, solely concentrating on facial and eye creams.
