Mac Paint Pot

I would like to thank @JudyL and @Shanus for recommending Mac Paint Pot in the shade Painterly as a shadow base. I was using Trish McEvoy eye base for at least 5 years straight until I tried this. I have used it daily for around a month as both a base on some days and a shadow on others. I have hooded aging eyes and this does not crease or look dry. My eyes seem to "pop" more when using this. I thought the color might be too dark for my fair skin, but it works great.

If you are looking for a multi purpose eye base, this stuff is great!

@scullychick - You're welcome! So glad it worked for you. It is great as an eyeshadow base. All my other eyeshadows primers are just sitting in a drawer unused.

@scullychick Thanks for the recommendation. I must have missed it when @JudyL and @Shanus talked about this. I have been looking for a good shadow base since Laura Geller discontinued her base in a pot, which was my go to..

Painterly looks much too pink for me. I think I'll try the Soft Ochre, which is much more my color. Thanks all.

@scullychick and @nyc1 - I like that you don't need much if using it as a shadow base so the pot will last a long time. @nyc1 - the Soft Ochre has more yellow in it than the Painterly shade - just an FYI and what I've observed when I saw them in person.

@JudyL Thanks ... I have a lot more yellow in my skin than pink, HOWEVER, I do tend to wear brick and cinnamon colors for my eye shadows. I'll need to think about this one. Maybe I'll ask @Shanus what she suggests... painterly or soft ochre?

@nyc1 I have seen Soft Ochre on the MAC site, but would try "Vintage Selection" or "Layin Low" which is a bit more beige/peach. Soft Orchre reads quite yellow. If using it for a shadow base, Bare Study is light, but cancels out redness and any veins. I use that one most of the time.

Well, I guess I better add Painterly to my Ulta cart. I have been wanting a good eyeshadow primer and have been underwhelmed with the one I have.
