      <title>Airwrap curler  - Anyone try a more affordable option?</title>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;I would really like to try the Airwrap styler to see if it would be easier to curl my long hair and if it would last longer.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I cannot afford the Dyson or Shark and I won't pay that price even on easy pay, even if they are worth the cost, it's just not something I can budget for.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;With that being said, has anyone tried a "cheaper" type that you felt worked well and would be worth trying?&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;TIA for your feedback and taking time to reply.&amp;nbsp; Have a blessed Sunday&amp;nbsp;&lt;img id="heart" class="emoticon emoticon-heart" src="https://community.qvc.com/i/smilies/16x16_heart.png" alt="Heart" title="Heart" /&gt;&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;&lt;a href="https://community.qvc.com/t5/user/viewprofilepage/user-id/8812"&gt;@SandGirl&lt;/a&gt;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp; I have never tried the AirWrap style curler, the reviews noting the fact that the curls did not last warned me off.&amp;nbsp; I tried the Beachwavers, and they were ok, but I also didn't find the curls lasting very well unless I left the hair wrapped for so long it almost fried my ends.&amp;nbsp; I took a big chance on the Calista AirGlide when it was a TSV last year, and I was shocked that it worked really well, and the curls lasted.&amp;nbsp; It looks like a regular flat iron, but the big difference is that, instead of having to hold it closed on the hair and then wrangle twisting it to produce a curl, the plates' default position is closed, so you press a button to open it, put the hair strand in, then let go of the button and turn the tool to start curling.&amp;nbsp; Maria McCool had another TSV more recently, it was an AirGlide 2.0, with a slightly different opening button mechanism, and I ordered one of them, too.&amp;nbsp; I checked QVC's inventory, and could not find that particular Calista product, but I'll bet if you go to her Calista website, you could.&amp;nbsp; It wouldn't surprise me if she's got another, even newer model coming out that will be a TSV during the holiday season.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I am presuming the blower brushes that are out there don't produce a tight enough curl for you?&amp;nbsp; I have one of those, it blows dry and gives me a "turn under" on the ends, but it doesn't really give me a curl, the brush part is way too big.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Right now I'm not using any tools on my hair, I got it permed last summer. but if I let it grow out and go straight again, I'll go back to my Calista when I do want curls.&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;I think it was called an AirGlide, that's why I was trying to check QVC to make sure of the name before I posted.&amp;nbsp; I guess I better go to Maria's website to make sure...&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Okay, it's now the AirGlide Pro, not 2.0, she doesn't have the older model for sale any more.&amp;nbsp; QVC might still offer this as a TSV during the holidays, they seem to have a category called "Gifting Gorgeous" pretty regularly.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;&lt;a href="https://community.qvc.com/t5/user/viewprofilepage/user-id/8812"&gt;@SandGirl&lt;/a&gt;&amp;nbsp; I look forward to hearing your opinion if you get one and try it out.&amp;nbsp; I know I had to watch the videos on QVC several times to make sure I was getting the hang of it, so you might want to watch the videos on the Calista website to see if #1 you really want one, and #2 how to get the results you want out of it.&amp;nbsp; My only complaint is that the barrel is a 1", and I'd love one just a little smaller, for a tighter curl, but 1" is still better than no curl at all on my stick straight hair in it's natural state.&amp;nbsp; Back when I was growing up, my hair was the ideal, "Marcia Brady" style, but now, 50+ years later, I am SUPER-tired of it, and thus, the AirGlide, and now, the perm.&amp;nbsp; &lt;img id="womanwink" class="emoticon emoticon-womanwink" src="https://community.qvc.com/i/smilies/16x16_woman-wink.png" alt="Woman Wink" title="Woman Wink" /&gt;&lt;/P&gt;</description>
