@JeanLouiseFinch None of the beauty products I use seem to be a part of the Prime Big Deal Days. But I have made some purchases for the dog we plan on adopting some time within the next week or two.

I don't need anything from the 'beauty department' at the moment but I did manage to buy a new lawn mower which I was eyeing all summer long. Finally had enough of the ol' gas mower and got me a brand new cordless one. Next summer won't be so bad after all.

OMG, @JeanLouiseFinch ... I'm so sorry you had to put your dog down. I can imagine how difficult that must have been. Years ago we had to put down our German Shepherd. But it was the right thing to do, He had really bad arthritis and was suffering terribly. That is the one bad thing about having pets. They become part of the family... so when you lose them it is so painful.

I did a little damage today -

RMS foundation refill, subscription, RMS primer refill subscription, replacement heads for my electric toothbrush, Aveno baby body wash, tub toys for our grandchildren, a mesh hanging container for the tub toys, and a couple bags of Bones coffee beans.

@monicakm - I know what you're saying as I think a few of the things I bought today were not really all that much less than what I usually pay. For example, something may say 30% off but it's 30% off the "list price" not 30% the price that I usually pay, which is usually less than list price anyway. Hope that makes sense. On a couple of items I tried to go into my "orders" to see how much I paid previously but it just shows the total amount for the order, not the individual price paid for each item. That's frustrating.

I was looking at a few pair of earrings lastnight and they said delivery for Monday, Oct. 14. We're leaving Saturday for a week away. I wanted to take them so I passed. This morning they said delivery tomorrow so I ordered some.

I'm done now...I think 😉

@SilleeMee I bought an EGO battery powered mower several years ago and love it. This one is self powered and quite powerful. I can use it trimming around the driveway and pasture lanes and yard. I couldn't use it if it wasn't self powered makes it possible for me to do more around my home.

@SilleeMee DH gas a battery-operated mower. We have a standard lot of the area, not huge. He can only get the front yard on a charge and then it takes half the day to charge the batteries. He lets them cool down before charging them so they don't overheat. So, it's rare that he mows both the front and back yards on the same day. Luckily, the grass in the back grows a lot slower, so it doesn't need to be mowed as often. Wish we could figure out exactly what it is so we could put it in the front yard too. It's also denser, but it does take forever to fill in if you've had to do any digging.

His mower is a Worx.

I bought an EGO self-propelled cordless mower and it comes with two batteries. It's an Amazon Deal right now and it's also an Amazon's Choice mower. I think I made the right choice with getting that one. There are other websites that gave it top ratings, too. Glad I waited for the price to come down. Saved almost $100. Hope I don't have any problems with changing the battery. You know I have dexterity issues.

@monicakm I assume you mean the Extension Office? They reside in neither location, but I may try them. I've been told two different grasses by two different "experts". Of course, there are also different varieties within each grass and my variety may no longer be sold.

We did move some of it to a couple of bare spots in the front yard when DH dug it up for the greenhouse. One patch is doing quite well. The other was doing well until earlier this year when we had some drainage work done and they dug through it and made a bit if a mess.
