My RMS blush arrived today

Ok, so I got my RMS Bermuda Rose blush today. Never tried her stuff. I just washed my face and I went ahead and tried it. So, the finish is definitely beautiful. It's extremely lightweight compared to other powder blushes I have used. I'm not wowed, but my bathroom mirror typically makes me look like I don't have enough blush on. When I get outside in the car, I got too much on, so I will rate it outside tomorrow. I can actually hardly notice it's on. I should have gotten the Kir Royale as I think it has more color payoff.

Also, I have two (that's it) make up brushes and they are for blush. One I have had for a while and the other one is from ELF. I really like the ELF blush brush so I'm going to wash it tonight so the RMS blush will be the only thing on it.

I'm hoping that my mirror is lying to me again and that it surely is enough color 😆

When you get her blushes you really have to dig your brush in as there seems to be a protective seal over it. Also you need the right brush because you won’t get enough pigment with a super loose brush that doesn't have many bristles.. What brush did you use? I use the rms blush brush I got with a blush or my BK beauty 111 sense bronzer brush.

@ccassaday I used the ELF brush, but I ran it over a paper towel to get some other blush product off. Thanks for that tip. Gonna try again tomorrow.

I just looked that brush up. It doesn't seem to have many bristles and it might not be picking the pigment up. Because of the gel powder consistently of that blush you really do need something with more bristles.

@bmorechick - RMS blushes do go on lighter than most blushes but they are buildable to the look you want. The brush head can make a difference. Will go look at the ELF blush brush and see what it looks like.

Is your brush the angled ELF blush brush or the other one that has a fuller brush head? As @ccassaday mentioned if the brush head is a loose brush head, it may not be picking up the powder. I have found that I have better luck with angled brushes as they seem to pick up blushes - whether RMS or others - more. If you have the looser brush, you may need to swirl it in the blush a few times to get enough pigment on the brush.

@bmorechick Can I suggest the IT two ended brush with a larger brush head and smaller one at other end. I use for foundation, blush, bronzer and almost anything. I have two so one is always clean and ready. Those bristles are tight enough for the RMS or any other blush.

I am considering a blush purchase. I really have so many blushes now so I really dont need a new one and lately I am leaning towards creamy ones because I am on the dry side. I am going to get Bermuda Rose if I make a purchase. If I make the purchase I will use lightly...

Ok guys...this is my ELF brush I use for blush. As I've said many times, I'm neither a brush or makeup collector, so this is one of 2. The other one is old.

I took the advice of @JudyL and "dug into" the blush this morning. Yes, that made a difference for sure. More product collected and went on really nice. What I like about this blush is that when you build it up, it doesn't get powdery or cakey looking. And while it has a subtle glow, it's not that wet look a lot of the teens are wearing and no glitter effect either. I don't use primers or foundation on my face...so this went on top of my moisturizer. I went outside on the porch to look. Yes, it's just right and I'm happy!

I will, at some point purchase another one, maybe just the refill since they are cheaper. Many thanks to all the make up experts here!

@SurferWife Thanks for the recommendation. I may consider it at some point. I have everything I wear on my face in a 6x9 pouch. That's it. Clearly, I wear very little. No room for another brush in there and I would probably just toss the other blush brush I have had for way too long 🤦🏻‍♀️

@monicakm Tru dat! The only mirror that doesn't lie is the passanger side one in hubs truck. That's a true picture because I'm outside and you can see EVERYTHING. To me, what you look like in a car mirror is what you actually look like. Sometimes it's scary 🫣

I used to use an angled brush but now I use RMS's blush brush. If you watch her video(s), you'll see how she applies the blush using the side of the brush and not putting the bristles perpendicular to the face. I also follow her placement recommendations.

@bmorechick As others have said, you can definitely layer the color and deepen the result. I either use the RMS brush or I use the BK Beauty #107 or 106 brushes. The other BK Beauty brushes as suggested are also good ones.

I have 5 of the RMS Blushes and the Bermuda Rose is one of the less intense colors but still has nice payoff with the right brush and possibly applying twice.
