Eyelash Growth Serum

Does anyone have a recommendation for a good eyelash serum? I was using the VieBeauti serum from Amazon but it was turning my eyelids red so I stopped using it.

I switched from VieBeauti to Silksence several months ago b/c the VieBeauti stopped working for me for some reason. I'm have really good results with the Silksence now. Contains no prostaglandins either. Amazon has it for $17 and there is a 20%-off coupon available now.

About the Silksence...

I didn't see any results until I got close to the end of my first tube which was somewhere around 8 weeks. So then I bought a second tube and I'm now about 3/4's of the way through my second tube and my lashes are thicker and a bit longer. I would say that the Silksence encourages more lash hairs to appear and make them grow long but not overly long to where you need to trim them. I found that when I was using the VieBeauti (when it worked) I was seeing really long lash hairs but not all of them. Just a few on each eye that had to be trimmed b/c they were touching my glasses...lol! But then that all stopped and my lashes went back to skimpy again until I used Silksence.

I've been using Babe Lash Essential Serum. Having great luck with it. My hairdresser got me a 3 month supply for less than $40. I love it.

I'm also a former Vie Beaute user. As with some others on the forum, I had great success for a while but then it stopped when the formula changed. I've been using the Silksence for a few weeks, maybe a month, and it's working well. For me, there is no irritation, redness, or itching - just growth. In full disclosure, I've often been applying it twice daily, hoping for quicker results. Eventually I'll settle into once at night. Today I added it to my regular Amazon subscriptions so I'll never be without it.

I'm also using Silksence on the recommendation of @SilleeMee , however, I use it on my brows not on my lashes. I don't feel comfortable putting any - not just this one - eyelash serum on my eyes. Know that sounds strange since I put all sorts of makeup on my lids and lashes but can't with this. I've only been using it consistently on the brows for a few days so can't say if it works for them or not but thought it was worth a try.

I'm taking a different route. I don't know that the Vie Beauty ever worked for me. I think it just took awhile for the lashes to shorten after stopping the Carprost. Truthfully, nothing ever worked as well as the original formula of RapidLash for me. I know it had a prostaglandin, but it worked.

I've been using a product called Wewell from Amazon. It has Myristoyl Pentapeptide-4 to stimulate the growth. The Silksence also uses this and pairs it with Myristoyl Pentapeptide-17. However, from what I've read, the Myristoyl Pentapeptide works best if paired with Myristoyl Hexapeptide-16, so I've been looking for a serum that contains both.

I do feel like the Wewell is working for me in promoting more hairs, not necessarily length, but since I have small eyes and my lashes don't curl without help, I'd rather have more lashes vs long lashes. But, the directions say to use 2X/day and I just don't often remember to do that.

I did find a serum that has both the Myristoyl Pentapeptide-17 and the Myristoyl Hexapeptide-16. It costs a little more but has slightly more product 3.5 mL vs 3.0 mL but if I'm only applying 1X/day, it should last longer. The tube is tiny, but I think it's just because it's all product, not the packaging. If I remember correctly, the Silksesnce is 5 mL, so more product. It's called Allurials.

It'll be awhile before I get to use it since I want to use up what I'm currently using.

@mare54, the Isomers product never worked on me, but I have been using Babelash for several years now with good results. No side effects like color change, but it is expensive. I wish my hairdresser could get me a discount! You are very lucky.

requires a prescription.
