Body Lotion Recommendation

My summer skin is dried out and rough. I have Tree Hut scrub but that alone is not renewing my skin. I looked into Alpha Hydroxy Renewal Lotion that it is often recommended by SilleeMee but it contains lanolin and I am allergic.

Any other suggestions?

Love both, very nourishing and the First Aid Beauty actually does seem to repair not just moisturize

A scrub alone is not going to moisturize your skin. Do you think you could be over exfoliating?

I like and use Cerave. My derm recommended it when I was diagnosed with exteme ezcema. They offer it in lotion, cream, and a balm version. There might be a rough skin version. I would check out the drugstore-- Cetaphil, Goldbond, and others offer some variation of rough bumpy skin cream.

Try a body cream like Cerave instead of a lotion. If you have a Trader Joe's close any of their body creams in the bright colored containers are wonderful! I have dry skin and they are my saving grace.

If you don't mind a higher price point, I love Perlier Shea Butter body creams (from HSN) on my dry ashy skin. I also get great results from Osea's Undaria Algae Body Oil. Don't be turned off by oil. This is what may be called a dry oil as it has a short dry time and does not rub off on your underwear and clothes. If I can't sell you on using an oil, Osea has a fabulous body butter. Eu'Genia Shea has a wonderful shea butter. You would probably prefer the creamy version called Everyday Strength. Her products are sold at QVC. I discovered this brand through a presentation on QVC.

If price is a concern, Bath and Body Works and The Body Shop have some good moderately priced lotions and creams.

I also have good luck with some of the luxury body creams that team with my perfumes but those are very expensive.

I love Olay Hydrating Body Lotion with Hyaluronic Acid or Neutrogena Hydro Boost Gel Cream because so many others are too heavy and thick for me.

Gold Bond Radiance Renewal is my fave. It's thick, more like a body butter in a pump bottle. Don't know if it has lanolin. I'll sometimes layer it over an oil after my shower in winter.

I also use Amlactin that I get at Costco on my arms. It's got salicylic acid in it which is somewhat exfoliating.

I would try a oil, first apricot oil, and avocado oil, body cream most diffidently Cerave, in the tub.

I HIGHLY recommend WEN Ultra Nourishing Intensive Body Treatment. It has a higher price point, but my goodness, it is good! I always buy mine on sale so that I don't have to pay full price.

GLYTONE makes a premium exfoliating body lotion and it does not contain lanolin.

If you're willing to indulge then a 8-oz bottle will cost you $48. For me the price is cost prohibitive and that's why I use Alpha instead.

This one is very highly rated. It's thick almost like a cream...just like the Alpha lotion.

@ninjawife My favorites are First Aid Beauty, Trader Joe's, Perlier, WEN, Philosophy Body Butters, Josie Maran, and M. Asam for my skin when it gets really dry. I have also heard that VaniCream is good for very dry skin. I don't know if any of them contains lanolin.

It was either last year or year before Ulta had a great early Black Friday sale including FAB Ultra Repair.

You might need a cream instead of a lotion like @brandiwine suggested. Creams tend to be richer, thicker, and more emollient. You could also apply product twice a day.

I've used Vaseline intensive care unscented lotion for many years and really like it. I can't use most scented products due to my asthma. I apply it after my nightly shower and again in the morning.

Gold Bond lotion is definitely thicker than your average drugstore lotion. I found their body lotion a bit too thick for my liking, but I use their neck cream at night.

@LTT1 That is good to know! On a side note do you recognize the Crepe Erase former spokesperson? Kim Parrish, former QVC host

Also the First Aid Beauty Ultra Repair works well for me on the crepey skin. And drinking Lono Life bone broth lol, pretty sure that has helped my skin too. And hair.
