Beauty Spy Spicule Essence

Last night on HSN Beauty Report Chelsea and Amy presented this new product. I was a bit intrigued. It goes on as a liquid but acts as a micro needling of the skin. It contains spicules from sponge that acts as the exfoliator instead of a gadget or tool to do it.

Spicules used in skincare is nothing new...goes back centuries in traditional Korean herbal medicine practices. It's an alternative to microneedling and can be used to help deliver ingredients into the skin via tiny holes created from the spicules.

I know very little about K Beauty so it was new to me except for the tool that Beauty Bio has that does this same thing.

Some skincare companies use diamond dust in their products and what that does is provide micro-exfoliation to allow the active ingredients to penetrate easier. Same principle using spicules but spicules dissolve in the upper skin layers whereas diamond dust remains on the surface and gets washed away.

There is also a beauty spy peptide serum(10 peptides) on clearance, got me interested. Any thoughts? Has anyone tried this? Has 3.3 stars. Only drawback I see is, peptides are mostly at the bottom of the deck & low percentages & way too many ingredients.

I had to go watch HSN about this product. Interesting but having tried a few items from this line-- that did nothing for my skin, at all, I sent it all back. Hope anyone that gets this let's us know how it works.

Cant be any more harsh than the Beauty Bio Glow Pro gadget that you run up and down and across your face. I think SSC also had a gadget like that too.

I really can't say b/c I've never used it but I think it would be something that could work for exfoliation purposes, a bit pricey however.

I am sure the HSN price will go down when it airs again, I think it was less when it aired on Wed. I have it in my HSN Faves list, watching for a price drop and for reviews.

Now Dr Tree has introduced a Spicule Cream, it was on Beauty Report this week. Also, Manuela is introducing a Spicule product on SHQ this weekend. Anxious to hear her explanation of it, she will compare it to micro blading.

@Shelbelle, I ordered it from beauty report bc after watching Manuela launch her new products, earlier today, with spicule and her exosomes with Diamond peptide serum set at under $200 I chose the less expensive one. 🤗. The set is now $300. We'll see. I do like the gel cream Dr doctoros. Feels amazing next day, soft, dewy, tighter 🤭.
ps: Manuela's set is back down to $179

I just listened to most of the HSN video on the cream, Chelsea said to apply any other serums or creams on first, the spicule cream goes on as your last step.

A turn off to me was that the cream contains Isohexadecane which is mineral oil, I try to svoid that in my skin care.
