@San Antonio Gal Yeah I was watching this and he was doing it all wrong. First, you only hold it clamped for 1-2 seconds max. Second, you don't go up the hair where you can see the crimping, you stay at the roots then you never see it. I watched Jane holding it on her hair for 5-6 seconds and she was indeed scorching her hair, but she didn't know any better because the vendor host didn't know what he was doing either. It's a fabulous hair tool and you won't realize how much you will love it and rely on it until you actually have one.

I have one and I absolutley love and swear by it. I have long hair and it's always flat at the top from weight etc. This works to create volume like nothing else and hides my collick at the same time. You only hold it n place for 1-2 seconds and you won't see the crimp in the hair. It doesn't fry your hair either. I use it even if I'm just putting my hair into a ponytail. I was out with some of my husband's family on a boat and I noticed two of the ladies looking at my profile and I heard them say. "look at how cute her ponytail is and that cute way it poofs out. They never did ask me, but I would have told them it was the Voloom tool. Even told my old hairdresser about it and she asked to borrow it for a family photo as she had a flat top also. Teasing the hair is way more damaging and then you need hairspray etc. this is far far better.

I bought one after her post (a long time ago) and I love it! I bought another one on Q (price was good!) as a backup because I NEVER want to be without one. It doesn't fry your hair if you use it properly. It's a great, amazing tool! Makes a hugely positive impact on my fine, thin, bone-straight hair.

There is a learning curve with the Voloom. There are many "How-To" vids out there to see how it's done. The Voloom is a very popular tool and I think it's great that the Q finally brought it here.

FYI about the sizes...

The 1" and 1.5" have slightly larger nubs than the 3/4". The 3/4" inch is made to get closest to the root and is more useful for shorter hair. The other two larger ones can be used on the roots, too, but are better for longer hair.

If you go to the Voloom dot com website, there are vids there to see how to style your hair with the tool.

One of things I like about my Voloom is that, since I have an oily scalp, I can use the Voloom to lift my hair up off of my oily scalp so my hair doesn't get oily so fast. I can extend my hairstyle for a couple more days that way.
